Ashley, I don't know the answer to your hemp fat question but I do know that in addition to hemp milk, home
made brazil nut milk is great for weaning a baby off breast milk.
I haven't
made brazil nut butter before so it was a very pleasant surprise.

When
making it at home, if you don't want to add oil (as I don't usually) I found that adding
brazil nuts (about 1/3 the portion to the cashews, or 1/2) will help it whip up no problem!
Start by
making the crust: Use a food processor to finely chop the
brazil nuts and coconut flakes into a crumbly meal.
In addition to almonds, walnuts, and cashews, sunflower seeds, hemp seeds (mix in after pulsing the rest of the mixture in the blender), and
brazil nuts (roughly chop before measuring) can also
make nice additions to these vegan meatballs.

I recommend that you eat half tsp of sesame seeds or 1 Tbsp of sunflower seeds (zinc) and 1 to 2
brazil nuts (selenium) per day, and a pinch of iodized salt, to
make sure you get the minerals you need for your thyroid to work properly.
Here's a good one: grid up some
brazil nuts with some unsulphured dried apricots so that you
make a paste — you may need to add a little water.
They are so rich in selenium that if you
made your milk out of strictly
brazil nuts you may develop a toxicity.

brazils and half almonds picked out of a bag of mixed
nuts.
Today we can eat food from around the world — we can
make sure we get enough selenium by eating a
brazil nut or two (kidneys are also a good source of selenium), we can get enough iodine from iodised salt or seaweed (selenium and iodine are the most important deficiencies in New Zealand, because of local soil conditions), and if we eat wholefood from a variety of sources — e.g. meat, a little organ meat (once or twice a week),
nuts & seeds, seafood, vegetables, and dairy (or bone broth if you don't tolerate dairy, two or three times a week)-- this will supply enough nutrition for optimum health.
