As it stands, this squad is fairly well positioned to compete for the Wenger Cup and make a deep run in the Europa, if and only if we play first stringers in Europe and use the bench for the League and FA Cups... that being said, and based on the fragility of the manager and the team in recent campaigns, it's more likely that Wenger will focus on a top 4 finish and the FA Cup... while the reasons for such an approach may appear logical, it would confirm a rather disturbing trend and appear counter intuitive for any team which claims to have higher aspirations... I feel that Wenger simply can't afford to put all his eggs in the Europa basket because if he fails the potential backlash could cripple any top 4 chances due to the aforementioned fragile psyche that tends to rear it's ugly head like our own personal groundhog day each and every February... furthermore, can you even imagine Wenger bringing in the necessary recruits to adequately supply top quality lineups in a Thursday / Sunday dominated schedule; based on everything I've seen in recent years, I can't see that happening... in fact, mark my words, it's more likely that we see Lacazette playing out wide in Alexis's position with Giroud at striker, than we see Wenger make the necessary moves to right this ship... god, I hope I'm wrong but is it really that far - fetched considering what we've witnessed for past several years

Hahaha pepes here saying Benzema is not significantly better than Giroud.i do not even want to go to stats.Firstly lets talk about finishing, Giroud finishing is not really that good at all.He misses a lot of chances.He most at times needs many chances to score and all also misses sitters too much.his shot accuracy too ai nt that good at all.This makes him an average finisher.Secondly, lets go to his dribbling abilities.every player has his own limitations.Giroud has average dribbling.there are many times if he could beat a player he would have been through on goal but since he cant he just waits for support denying the team a chance to score in most cases.Average dribbler.In addition, hold up play, Giroud holds up the ball really well, however, this does not work in all cases against physically strong defenders and also very intelligent defenders his hold up play suffers a lot.so for hold up play he is ok.i could go on and on my word this striker is not good at all do nt you watch him or you want to use his stats.ah!

How often after a defeat we listen to Arsene Wenger talk about focusing on the next game, well he had three days to focus on what went wrong in the cup final and more than enough time to correct it, yet against the same opposition the same result, but Arsene Wegner continues to talk about players lacking in confidence, the mental strenght and all the usual excuses made by Arsene Wegner, so how does the all seeing all knowing wise one explain Wigan Athletic and Liverpool beating Man city, well my advise to Arsene Wegner is if he really understand the word focus he would F --- k — Of ---- Cause — U ---- S --- t. WEGNER OUT.
