we make the inferential leap from those actual, but diverse, private experiences to the normative or public veridical judgment, «That is a penny on top of the desk» (where «penny» now stands exclusively for the normative description just given, as opposed to the particular ensemble of sense data we happen to perceive from a particular frame of reference)?
