The inspiration here comes from
sesame salt (gomashio), which is a Japanese condiment
made up
of a mix
of toasted
sesame seeds and salt.
My love affair with the combination
of matcha and
sesame seeds started when I
made these Black
Sesame Matcha Rolls three years ago (has it really been that long?).
I especially loved their I am Whole bowl, which is
made up
of mashed sweet potato, adzuki beans, sautéed kale, housemade kim chee, sea palm, black

Confession: I have a jar
of sesame seeds leftover from that
make - my - own - sushi phase I went through a while back.
Since most recipes i
make are never banana - y enough, i doubled the bananas, used greek yogurt insteaf
of oil, used all brown sugar to sweeten (figured all that banana moisture did nt need syrup moisture) and instead
of millet added 2 handfuls
of coconut, 1 handful
of oats, and a handful
of sesame seeds — still not quite maui, but best ive ever
made!
Our Organic Unrefined Toasted
Sesame Oil is

It's a paste

Don't underestimate the power
of some black
sesame seeds, chili flakes, and lemon zest or toasted pistachios and a drizzle
of honey to
make your toast that much more exciting.
Plus, the nutty crunch
of the toasted maple walnuts, and
sesame seeds —

I
made a double batch and added in a sprinkling
