There are so many things wrong with this game, first of all the plot is too linear you play as Mario throughout the whole game you don't get to play as peach or bowser, there are no new characters
other than kersti, all the characters in the game are from the Mario
platformers, there are no exp so you can't level up and if you run out of stickers you have no choice but to run away, peach only has about five lines, bowser is the main antagonist and he has no dialogue, in the previous installments the main antagonist always had dialogue, and one of this game's worst problems is that luigi went from being a playable character to a glorified cameo, I have no idea what nintendo was thinking when they
made this game.
They take what we once knew and held dear to our chests, only to have their developer
make it into something that is so much more and while I won't be bringing myself to give it a perfect score, Axiom Verge on Switch is hands down a game I would recommend to anyone who loves a good
platformer, even if they have played it on
other platforms.
If there is one thing I like in my
platformer games, it's the ability to also
make my own levels and plays those
made of
others.
A Metroidvania style
platformer that was highly lauded on
other platforms, Axiom Verge is headed to the Nintendo Switch with an art book, a double - sided poster, and a «
making of» documentary by 2 Player Productions in its physical version.
It is not that surprising to see the countless

making transitions from being just plain
platformers into
other ventures.

make The Sly Collection feel unique from

With the recent uptick in 3D
platformers, let's hope
other developers are paying attention to details like these that can
make a seemingly subtle aspect of a game so significantly effective.
The ideas Spell was able to create were beyond many
others,
making one of the best RPG's on this site, not to mention that this is Spell's first
platformer making it even more impressive that he has come this far in one try.
Light Fall's innovative game mechanic, coupled with its intriguing storyline and gorgeous art style
make it unlike any
other platformer.
«Mario Maker» is a game -
making program in which players can design levels using the obstacles, enemies and
other assets of the classic «Mario»
platformers.
Half the game is 2D
platformer; the
other half is a rich simulation packed with secrets and interlocking pieces that
make the entire game feel like a living organism designed with the express purpose of killing you.
Other design improvements Nintendo have
made here also help the 3D
platformer setup as well.
The method of attack is what helps
make Tinhead a bit more creative than a lot of the
other platformers of the time.
Light Fall «s unique game mechanic, coupled with its compelling storyline and gorgeous art style
make it unlike any
other platformer.
Even more so if the game you're
making is an epic Banjo - Kazooie esque 3D
platformer that's meant to feel on par with modern triple A titles and you're stuck coordinating a team of
other people in much the same situation.
Spanning 24 short levels, Run is a pleasant, if a little too safe, no - brainer from a company that excels at crafting
platformers like almost no
other, but the normal glee derived from guiding the nimble little plumber through the various obstacle courses that
make up the Mushroom Kingdom is noticeably lessened by the lack of control and content.
Defy Gravity, while similar to
other puzzle
platformers, brings enough uniqueness to the table with it's gravity / anti-gravity system to
make it worth playing.
Rather than hitting a jump button every time you want to jump like any
other platformer, here, you simply hold down the sprint button, and the game will
make all the jumps, all the ledge grabs, and perform all the rope sliding sections for you, automatically.
That jumping style can
make or break the player having a good time, and I spent too much time being frustrated at missing jumps that could have been
made in many
other platformers.
As such, I was intrigued to see whether or not this brutal
platformer with a twist would live up to some
other indie greats that have also
made their way to consoles.
What really set the game apart from
others when I revisited it was how well it held up compared to
other adult games — at its core is a great
platformer and an interesting story that's
made much more remarkable by how dirty it was while being on a Nintendo console but what ultimately matters to me is that when I played it a few years ago I still found the poo funny.
This ethereal
platformer soars to even greater heights when it seamlessly layers in anonymous co-op with
other travelers on their own life's journey (so you'd best
make absolutely sure to play this online).
Just like Yoshi's Wooly World, it is an action
platformer set in a world
made entirely of yarn, beads, buttons, and
other crafting material.
