There is no doubt in my mind that the most disastrous decision we
made during the past calendar
year, up to and including the most eventful January transfer window in recent memory, was not the Sanchez debacle that saw him off to Old Trafford, which will forever be considered a
failure of epic proportions, or the selling off
of Ox to Liverpool following a thrashing less than a fortnight earlier, or even the triangular clusterf * ck that saw Giroud head to our crosstown rivals in the 11th hour, but the re-upping
of our manager after another tumultuous and cringe - worthy campaign both on and off the pitch.

In the midfield, (including RWB & LWB) we have a whole bunch
of tweeners... none offer the full package, none
make sense in our manager's current favourite formation, except for Sead on the left and Ox on the right, and all
of them have never shown any consistency for more than a heartbeat... Sead, who I'm including in this category because
of our present formation, looks like a positive addition, minus his occasional brain farts, but I would rather see what he could do in a back 4 before
making my mind up... Ox, who has never played better, which isn't saying much considering his largely underwhelming play in previous seasons, seems to have found a home in this new formation; unfortunately, can we really expect this oft - injured player to handle the taxing duties that come with said position over the long haul, not to mention, it looks like he has no intention
of staying... Ramsey has relied on the empathy that stems from his gruesome injury
years ago and the excitement that was generated a few
years back when he finally seemed to put in altogether, but on the whole he has been a big disappointment (neither he nor the Ox have scored enough to warrant a regular spot)... Wiltshire should be put on a weekly contract then played until he suffers his first injury, if and when that occurs he should be shipped - out and no one should very be allowed to say his name on club grounds ever again... Elnehy & Coq are average players who couldn't
make any
of the top 7 teams currently in the EPL... both have showed some great energy on the pitch, but neither are top quality and no good team can afford to have that many average players on their bench playing the same position, especially with Coq's injury history / discipline concerns and Elheny's headless chicken tendencies... as for Xhaka, his tenure here so far has been incredibly underwhelming... we know he has some skills to provide the long ball but his defensive work is piss poor and he gives the ball away too cheaply and far too often... finally, the enigma himself, Ozil, so much skill with his left foot but his presence has been more frustrating than uplifting... in many respects his
failure has been directly related to the
failure of this club to provide him with the necessary players up front, minus Sanchez
of course, and unless something drastic happens very soon his legacy will be largely a negative one (much like Wenger's)
Up front we have a few world - class players surrounded by some serious pretenders... Sanchez is by far the most accomplished player in our attack but the controversy surrounding his contractual mishandling could see him go before the window closes or most definitely by season's end... obviously a mistake by both parties involved, as Sanchez's exploits have never been more on display than in North London, but the club's irresponsible wage structure and lack
of real intent have been the real undoing in this mess... Lacazette, who I think has some world - class skills as a front man, will only be as good as the players and system around him, which is troubling due to our current roster and Wenger's love
of sideways passing... Walcott should have been sold
years ago, enough said, and Welbeck should never have been brought in from the get - go... both
of these players have suffered numerous injuries over their respective careers and neither are good enough to overcome such difficulties: not to mention, they both are below average first - touch players, which should be the baseline test for any player coming to a Wenger - led Arsenal team... Perez should have been played wide left or never purchased at all; what a huge waste
of time and money, which is ridiculous considering our penny pinching ways and the fact that fans had been clamoring for a real striker for
years... finally Giroud, the fact that he stills wears the jersey is a direct indictment
of this club's
failure to get things right... this isn't necessarily an attack on Giroud because I think he has some highly valued skills, but not for a team that has struggled to take their sideways soccer to the next level, as his presence slows their game even more, combined with our average, at best, finishing skills... far too often those in charge have either settled or chosen half - measures and ultimately it is us that suffer because no matter what happens Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke will always
make more money whereas we will always be the ones paying for their mistakes... so every time someone suggests we should just shut - up and support the team just think
of all the sacrifices you've
made along the way and simply reply... f *** off
The process
of developing a title winning squad by buying one high cost component every
year, run the risk
of failure when the other players become disenchanted with the team along the way, especial if there is not any trophies, they will want to move on to ensure they win something
of substance in the best
years of their career, while this is being done other teams will be finding the individuals needed to
make a proper title run, some will do this by buying the expensive players and others will scan the various leagues to get a proper reasonable option to fill their needs.

Finally, if it is true, as you state that Gazidis is now entirely responsible for incoming players and not Wenger, then just answer me why we pay Wenger the best part
of # 9 million a
year to just fail to coach us and just
make public media excuses for his many
failures?
He's NOT god he's NOT infallable, fine we are all only human but to deny there are better players out there than the ones he has is 1) arrogant and 2) a plain lie To justify the teams failing using the same old rhetoric
year in
year out while attempting to justify why improvements were not
made (by stying in budget and spending the touted «war chest money») is again pure arrogance, (I would say stupidity but AW is far from stupid) and then to blame this seasons
failure on the fans attitude is just blatantly direspecting people who in a large part pay part
of his wages.
No amount
of positive thinking from fans will change that state
of affairs and to think otherwise just allows the delusional one to
make endless excuses for his own abject
failure... And it's not all abou the money there is not one player I can honestly say has improved under wenger in the last 10
years... Fabregas was the last and he joined us 15
years ago!!!
So for me, not
making 80 points, in how many
years now, including the 7
years failing to
make it past the round
of 16 in the Champions league, plus completely missing the champions league this
year, plus the 10 - 2 humiliation at Bayern, plus the way we sleepwalked through 5 away defeats, throwing away games that were in our complete control like Everton away for example, and so and so on, is nothing short
of failure.
just think
of the lineup we could have had if our management team had any foresight and changed their fiscal policies when they promised we could compete with any team in the world... instead we are a team that sells it's stars, let's it's top players rundown their contracts and doesn't properly produce and / or develop their young talent... remember when we played Bayern last
year we had a higher weekly wage bill and yet they had Lewandowski, Vidal, Mueller, Ribery, Neuer, Lahm, Alonso among others in their lineup... if that doesn't open your eyes to the utter
failure of those
making soccer decsions, nothing will
which is certainly not a slight on the young french national player; like him or not, Sanchez has provided some real world - class performances for club and country in recent
years... if you do this move, you need to really clean house or face some serious consequences for the foreseeable future... half measures are rarely rewarded, that's how we got here... tear down the wall... we need to get rid
of Giroud, not because he isn't a talented player, his skill - set simply doesn't
make sense if we hope to maximize the offensive potential
of a quick passing, one - touch scheme... we need to evolve, like Barcelona, who realized you needed to have clinical finishers or face a mind - numbing future
of horizontal passes and largely ineffective crosses... Barca went and got Suarez, even though they had Messi and Neymar on the roster (just imagine the possibilities — another in the litany
of Wenger «what ifs»)... we need to be as clinical in the boardroom as on the pitch... accept nothing less or move on... personally I would move on from Welbeck, Giroud and Walcott, even Ox if he isn't all in... I think the most intriguing player might be Perez, which runs counter to the thoughts in my head when he arrived late last summer... we need a deep lying DM with quick feet and long ball potential, midfielders who can counter quickly even when they are spread out and 4 or 5 players who know how to attack the lanes (kind
of a cross between Barca, Dortmund and Monaco)... this is seriously an achievable goal, one that logically should have been achieved quite a few
years ago... did no one in the Arsenal organization see the financial restructuring
of the football universe... think
of the players we could have had but we weren't willing to cough up the dough only for those individuals to have their value double or triple within a 12 to 24 month period... even if just from an investment perspective these «no deals» represent a
failure of monumental proportions... only if you cared,
of course
Wilshere is a far more accomplished footballer... Ramsey scores more it's true but that is only important bcse
of wenger's
failure to bring in top quality attackers prior to Sanchez arrival... Carzola wilshere rotation
makes sense this
year before wilshere takes on that role full time next
year
some fans will go an extra mile to defend Wenger even though everything is obvious that after 13
years of failure, he won't change and we should expect the repetition
of previous seasons for next season as well, but they are happy with that as long as le - fraud is happily getting the fat paycheck and
making every sort
of excuses to defend his
failures, they even defend the
failures with him

Failure to strengthen at key times in either the summer or january is nothing short
of brainless and ambitionless especially for a top team with champions league and premier league ambitions (sorry we are there to
make up the numbers)
Year after year we see either a striker midfielder or defender become injured and we lose momentum because either the board or Wenger see otherwi

makes no sense to commit to a certain type
of parenting before you see if the type
of child you have would benefit from those parenting ideas»... I
made this error & have spent the better part
of a
year feeling like a complete & utter
failure because I couldn't get my daughter to «conform» to what the «experts» said she should or shouldn't be doing etc... it is only recently that I have taken a step back & learned that it's okay to take pieces
of the miriad parenting options & use what works best for me & my daughter.

of all things — to ask them if it was for this that they spent «
years in the political wilderness as Labour activists, hoping to become members
of Parliament.»
