Although this game is firmly set in the Horizon Zero Dawn universe, the developers have created a compelling new area that is filled with many news dangers and looks quite different then

When you begin the
game you will start by fighting a group of Decepticons
in one
area then travel to another
area to fight even more enemies, followed by a boss fight, which will either be one of Megatrons
main Decepticons or one of the combiners (fives Decepticons merge to become one).
The base camps are a completely new addition (to the
main, numbered series at least), and really help the flow of the
game; you can talk to comrades and other officers
in the
area or purchase weaponry, and then when you are ready you can talk to an officer at the camp gates to start the battle; the gates will open and you can run directly onto the battlefield into the
main scenario.
Successfully managing the jetpack gun is the
main puzzle element of the
