Michelozzo, Antonio da Sangallo il Vecchio, Baldassarre Peruzzi, Vignola are
only some of the names contributing to the urban aspect of Montepulciano, whose
main buildings are mostly included within its city walls: the elegant Piazza Grande with its Palaces and the Cathedral; the long
artery that under different names winds through the city, ranging along its sides sixteenth century or medieval façades, renaissance churches, and even sculptured stones dating back from the etruscan times; the charming little squares and the narrow, romantic passages.
