There are a ton
of tips out there about building
blog traffic, but the best advice seems to come down to this: define your niche, post good content, post frequently, pitch your articles to other sites if you think the
authors might be interested (but don't overdo it), and look for other sites that might run your articles with a link back to your
main site.
But perhaps the best reason for
authors to guest
blog — and one
of the
main reasons to be thankful that guest blogging isn't «dead» — is that it helps you connect with more
of the people you wrote your book for.
Other writers may stop by to commiserate, and you do want to network with other
authors, but don't make your writer's block or attempts to get published the

of your
blog.
