Zero did a fantastic job of building up Kiryu and Goro's
main enemies though that wasn't a remake so again, its hard to fault Kiwami for it.

Even
though Chronicle Mode is a little smaller than the
main story, it's still fun exploring this universe with your own character as you travel the lands, recruiting allies and defeating your
enemies.
Your
main worry,
though, is
enemies.
The operative's
main weapon is an SMG,
though I'd recommend using the Welrod silenced pistol because you'll be surprised how many
enemies are not out in the open when the mode starts; you'll find this out rather quickly should you draw too much attention to yourself.
Though the DLC adopts many of the mechanics and
enemies you've encountered in the
main game, Chris Redfield (and returning antagonist Lucas) offers some new tricks.
It's still fun to play through the
main campaign however, as the gameplay is still very solid even
though it plays pretty much the same as other CoD games, with players running about chaotic battlefields and taking out tons of
enemy soldiers while completing objectives, such as capturing a base, holding a position and facing off against waves of
enemies, avoiding snipers, destroying
enemy equipment, and more.
Instead of ghosts and smallpox,
though, your
main enemies are zombies and interpersonal conflict.
Then there's Reaper's Shroud which equips the Reaper with a giant shadowy scythe, with abilities sharing similarities with those of Death Shroud,
though the
main focus being on getting up close and cleaving through
enemies.
The
main problem,
though, is the inconsistent hit detection, to the point where sometimes an
enemy will cause damage to Rastan without even coming within a character's length of him.
Resident Evil 7: Not a Hero actually puts you in a few enjoyable situations where you don't have a choice but to take on your
enemies though, and it's certainly a bit more action - focused than the
main game.
