Square Enix and PlatinumGames has released a new trailer for NieR: Automata, showcasing the battles and looking at
the main weapons found within the game.

i actually wanted to give this game a 10 i swear right hand to god but after reading pcforever's review i actually cant... im not a pc player so graphics a perfect to meand i like the story and i do nt know what kind of stuff he was doing but i constantly
found myself running out of gold and i had made all daedric armor and
weapons early on before 25 % of
main quest was even done so i needed to buy nothing but houses and crap... definitely cant go without giving this game a playthrough it is an absolute must... Hopefully the make it a little more interactive in a sense!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Regardless, players are able to bring items,
weapons, and vehicles
found only in the DLC over to the
main game as to compensate for this missing feature (one of the reasons why the title update was so large).
Melee combat is the
main focus as most of the game's
weapons are all items you
find on the ground.
Skill points are gained as each level increases, but the
main way to survive is to craft
weapons and vehicles out of things
found all around you.
But I'm like that for most of the classes in the game I simply
find a
weapon that I like and I just stick to it my
main concern is completing the objective in winning the match I could care less about all the different nuances between the guns I'm sorry but that's just completely irrelevant and stupid.
The title screen alone is reminiscent of Dragon Warrior, the
main character resembles a certain blue - haired protagonist in every Breath of Fire games, and
weapons like the Masamune, iron claws, and the famed Excalibur are the same
weapons found in many Final Fantasy titles.
I
found that the auto - rifles were definitely the most effective
main weapon to use (at least whatever version I was using with my Warlock).
As you can imagine this is useful for a sniper
finding themselves in close combat, but other classes can use it as well to save reloading their
main weapon which takes longer than simply swapping to a pistol, but ultimately only classes using Zoom scopes will
find this useful.
The operative's
main weapon is an SMG, though I'd recommend using the Welrod silenced pistol because you'll be surprised how many enemies are not out in the open when the mode starts; you'll
find this out rather quickly should you draw too much attention to yourself.
You'll also
find yourself doing a lot of side missions to earn enough experience points to let you carry more gear and wield better
weapons in the
main missions.
Speaking of
weapons, each character will start out with exclusive
weapons and then the
main character and partner will be able to
find extra
weapons in each chapter as the game progresses.
The stun gun, handgun, shotgun, rocket launcher, tranquilizer gun, heavy machine gun and sniper rifle were the
main weapons that I
found.
Your ship travels from left to right and you shoot enemies with three
main weapons: a rapid - fire machinegun, a narrow laser beam that pierces targets, and upward - and downward - firing bombs that help take out heavily armored turrets you'll
find throughout each sector.
Playing this mode also earns you rupees and
weapons you may not be able to
find in the
main story.
The
main goal of the game is to explore the base, blasting enemies with a variety of
weapons, and
finding special upgrades, such as energy tanks to increase your maximum health and the Saturn Ball, whereby Killian rolls into a ball to squeeze through tight spaces.
Each class has a
main weapon that they can only
find better versions of, while the sidearms and grenade / gear items come from a small pool of stock
weapon types.
Besides the
main goal there are other similarities between the games: in both, you get to decide in which part of the map you want to jump out of the airplane you're in and then guide the character through the fall and in both games you start nothing having to
find weapons, ammo, grenades, armor, med kits and other useful items.
I
find that most zombie - killing machines fall into one of two
main categories: guns and melee
weapons.
The water pistol is your
main weapon, but along the levels you will
find bigger guns and a potion that turns you into a cartoon demonic monster.
