main website didn't always remove it from the Content Delivery Network; in those cases, anyone who still had the destination
URL would be able to view the photo.

main website provides an obfuscated
URL for the photo to anyone it deems has permission to view it.
One of my
main motivators was to have the
URL and
website name for my blog to be one in the same for easy branding.
They email the article, but the link (if you can find it) leads to their
main publications page, leaving the reader to try digging around in the archives to locate a
URL (sometimes the article hasn't been posted to the
website yet).
