Monday's bombardment that killed nearly 100 people saw the use of war planes, helicopter gunships, and missiles as well as artillery, in
a major escalation of violence near President Bashar Assad's seat of power.
Their policies, combined with an unfavorable international economy led to a
major decline in the Jamaican economy with high levels
of unemployment, inflation and debt, and a significant
escalation of violence as supporters
of the JLP and PNP engaged in bloody struggles.
