So believing
in Jesus Christ for eternal
life WITHOUT walking
in love,

difference, helping
others, etc, is meaningless, unless
of coarse you are
on your death bed or are physically unable to «labor».
If, abstracting altogether from the question
of their value for the future spiritual
life of the individual, we take them
on their psychological side exclusively, so many peculiarities
in them remind us
of what we find outside
of conversion that we are tempted to class them along with
other automatisms, and to suspect that what
makes the
difference between a sudden and a gradual convert is not necessarily the presence
of divine miracle
in the care
of one and
of something less divine
in that
of the
other, but rather a simple psychological peculiarity, the fact, namely, that
in the recipient
of the more instantaneous grace we have one
of those Subjects who are
in possession
of a large region
in which mental work can go
on subliminally, and from which invasive experiences, abruptly upsetting the equilibrium
of the primary consciousness, may come.
Even if we could agree
on common definitions
of universal «good» and «right,»
in the final analysis
of life, the bottom line, what
difference does it
make if we help
others or not?
It's childish nonsense, and it promotes this stupid feeding war mentality that exists
in america, because our
lives are so frigging amazing that we have time and money to expend effort
on caring what
other people feed their kids like it
makes a lick
of difference.

Of all the issues that were laid before me in this competition, I could not help but feel that by supporting this group of scientists and activists in their fight for the planet, we would also be promoting the ideas that knowledge / literacy is power — that other species should be treated with respect — that everyone deserves the basic rights of food, safety and equality — that despite our differences, our common ground is the planet we live on — and that unless we make a serious commitment to protect it, the problems of the future will be too big for any organization to tackl

It gives me another opportunity to be creative but more importantly to
make a

lives of other women — something that humbles me
on a daily basis.
On one hand, we have a great message for both kids and adults to get involved with their families and communities to
make a
difference in each
others lives for the good
of all, and to have fun
in life.

on some occasions)...
Makes it easy to develop class rules
of fairness and cooperation... Builds a sense

of community and togetherness... Brilliant, just brilliant... our school is buzzing...
Movies such as Mr. Holland's Opus, Stand and Deliver, Dangerous Minds, and
others can help you see that
other teachers have suffered doubts but soldiered
on to
make a real
difference in the
lives of their students.
If I know for sure that my efforts can
make a concrete
difference in the
lives of the relatively small number
of kids, teachers, and parents I interact with every day, why divert a single ounce
of energy to reaching out to lawmakers who seem more intent
on bickering with each
other than listening to the people they represent?
We are always looking for people that value the opportunity to work hard, have fun
on the job, and
make a
difference in the
lives of others through their work every day!

We sincerely hope that our successes and adoption stories and the
difference that we have
made in the
lives of our dogs will be an encouragement to
other rescues to not be so quick to turn their back

of the dogs so easily overlooked.
