I have two small sons (7 and 5) and I try somehow every day to work into our
conversations that my job as a mom (and the job of their other parents) is to
make them socially constructive,
decent human beings... Who understand common courtesies, who remain compassionate and show empathy for those less fortunate, who have work ethic and a moral compass....
However, if you can strike a
conversation with someone around you without
making the situation awkward, it can turn out to be a
decent place to
make some genuine connections.
From arriving on time looking half -
decent, to keeping the
conversation flowing until the bill comes at the end, it's no small challenge to
make a first date successful.
Make sure you invite her to a place which is
decent and interesting, and can get you two some good amount of
conversation.
This may
make it hard to have a
decent conversation having so many restrictions on what to talk about.
