Fibig cited IFF's recent acquisition of PowderPure, a company that has developed a way to
make fresh, natural ingredients into
powder for flavoring or coloring foods.
Unlike most
powder latte mixes, Daily Harvest's lattes come pre-blended with frozen
fresh ingredients and coconut cream, which
makes it easy to incorporate everything for a smoother, creamier latte.
Make the dessert in advance, refrigerate and then just garnish with a little whipped cream, light sprinkling of chile
powder and
fresh mint for a gorgeous presentation.
Haven't tried this yet, but I bet dried (or

powder makes all the difference.
As soon as fall comes around, I start stocking up on
fresh baking
powder, baking soda, sugar, flour, and vanilla in preparation for all the baked goodies that I will be
making in the coming weeks and months... basically until June comes back around and it's too hot to turn the oven on.
There's still a bit of onion
powder thrown in for flavor, but overall it's simpler,
fresher, and is
made all in one pan from start to finish.
Since I
make muffins so often, I go through baking
powder and baking soda frequently which means I know it's
fresh.
It's a good way to keep baking
powder fresh, however I think it's because a lot of people don't bake at home — in France, bags of sugar and flour are much smaller than they are in the states (in the US, there are huge bags of nuts, flours, sugars, and other baking ingredients in supermarkets)- which I think is because there are so many bakeries (and in cities like Paris, kitchens are tiny) and lots of people buy their baked goods rather than
make them.
You can definitely
make your own raspberry
powder by drying some
fresh raspberries and processing them, but this stuff I brought back is very, very fine with an amazing red color.

made from finely ground, dehydrated garlic and can be used as a substitute for
fresh garlic in many recipes.

made this yummy dessert for one of her classes at school and she served them with
fresh cut fruit and

This soup is

powder, turmeric and a dash of sriracha combine with coconut milk, ketchup and a splash of orange juice to
make the sauce.
Perhaps because I
make it
fresh, I actually believe it is better and more effective than store - bought baking
