If you learn the formal issues that are required to
make good art, and you have the skill set to move seamlessly from one discipline to another, then there's not a problem.
Good intentions don't necessarily
make good art.
Last week, I was talking to a disillusioned young artist who lamented that he and his peers are trained to aspire to quit their day jobs, rather than to
make good art.
In a way, that in itself is enough to
