The works range from the very early video Paralyzed (2003), made while Lidén was still an art student in Stockholm, to one of her newest works, shown at Galerie Neu in 2014 — which, startlingly, is an installation that includes live canaries.
New works have been made especially for the exhibition including Anna Ray's «Margate Knot» (2017), a site - specific work produced by Ray and a host of local Margate makers; and an installation by Samara Scott in the museum's lift that uses a combination of carpet, food colouring and yoghurt to entirely its walls, creating an immersive and, in the words of the artist, «Overwhelming experience» for visitors to get in and up close to.
Opening: «Hew Locke: The Wine Dark Sea» at Edward Tyler Nahem Fine Art An Anglo - Guyanese artist who's well known for work dealing with issues of race and colonialism, Hew Locke makes his New York solo debut with an installation of 35 boat sculptures suspended at various scales from the gallery's ceiling like a magnificent fleet.
