For those of you that don't know me, I'm Chef Dennis and it's my great pleasure today to be here with you today and share a new cookie recipe with you.I have to start out by saying that while I'm not really a baker, it is something that I truly enjoy doing. While I have made my fair share of cakes and pies, cookies are one treat that has eluded me.I do have my one go to cookie, courtesy of Alice Medrich, but I've pretty much beaten that one into the ground this year, and I knew I needed to expand my cookie repertoire.I started going through my cookbooks looking for inspiration, there were so many wonderful cookies to choose from, but in the end I decided upon a cookie that I had seen in my wife's December edition of Real Simple. The cover of the issue simply stated «30 impressive make - ahead cookies» and as I looked through the magazine, nothing really grabbed me and then I turned the page to the last cookie, and there it was.......
Every now and then I've had something turn out well — like these amaretti cookie sandwiches, or the gingerbread house I made last year.
I remember watching it dozens of times on TV throughout my childhood and teen years — after I turned 11 and started cooking and baking, I'd always make something especially for the movie session, and there was an orange cake I'd repeat to exhaustion back then; unfortunately, I never kept the recipe.
In the midfield, (including RWB & LWB) we have a whole bunch of tweeners... none offer the full package, none make sense in our manager's current favourite formation, except for Sead on the left and Ox on the right, and all of them have never shown any consistency for more than a heartbeat... Sead, who I'm including in this category because of our present formation, looks like a positive addition, minus his occasional brain farts, but I would rather see what he could do in a back 4 before making my mind up... Ox, who has never played better, which isn't saying much considering his largely underwhelming play in previous seasons, seems to have found a home in this new formation; unfortunately, can we really expect this oft - injured player to handle the taxing duties that come with said position over the long haul, not to mention, it looks like he has no intention of staying... Ramsey has relied on the empathy that stems from his gruesome injury years ago and the excitement that was generated a few years back when he finally seemed to put in altogether, but on the whole he has been a big disappointment (neither he nor the Ox have scored enough to warrant a regular spot)... Wiltshire should be put on a weekly contract then played until he suffers his first injury, if and when that occurs he should be shipped - out and no one should very be allowed to say his name on club grounds ever again... Elnehy & Coq are average players who couldn't make any of the top 7 teams currently in the EPL... both have showed some great energy on the pitch, but neither are top quality and no good team can afford to have that many average players on their bench playing the same position, especially with Coq's injury history / discipline concerns and Elheny's headless chicken tendencies... as for Xhaka, his tenure here so far has been incredibly underwhelming... we know he has some skills to provide the long ball but his defensive work is piss poor and he gives the ball away too cheaply and far too often... finally, the enigma himself, Ozil, so much skill with his left foot but his presence has been more frustrating than uplifting... in many respects his failure has been directly related to the failure of this club to provide him with the necessary players up front, minus Sanchez of course, and unless something drastic happens very soon his legacy will be largely a negative one (much like Wenger's)
The 33 - year old has already made the news a few times since joining for Arsenal, with his two mistakes against West Ham condemning us to a shock defeat on the opening day and then all the furore when Arsene Wenger left him on the bench for the Champions League loss to Olympiacos, so it is nice to see something positive about him.
Crossy thinks that if this season disintegrates then Wenger will be sacked BUT if we win something or make top four he will stay one last year.
Arsenal I really feel sorry for us.It's gonna take a while for us to win something with this mentality. The more I talk of Giroud the more angrier I get.But seriously after four years are we still talking of this guy.As I said it's part of life. Some make the cut some just don't make the cut.But hey you will always have people who refuse to open their eyes to the truth.Arsenal needs a savior somebody who can step up and put it in there.Maybe the savior is hiding in our club bu he's not been unleashed yet or maybe he's out there so we have to get him.Until then all I see in my eyes is average written over this guy.Maybe you see something special in his play but I don't.
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3 players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
Although I've found it very cathartic to speak, vent and end occasionally rant about all things Arsenal, we need to act carefully and intelligently right now or we're going to get played by this club even worse than at present... the pro-Wengerites and the suits, who represent a considerable proportion of the season ticket holders, don't want to believe that there is no plan and that Wenger has mailed it in for several years now or that things are going to get much worse before they get better... why would they... many have spent a considerable sum buying some of the highest priced tickets in the World... they want to have a front row seat to see something special and to be seen doing so, which simply provides ample justification for the expense and the time invested... to many of them, Wenger is the sun in their soccer universe... his awkward disposition, misplaced arrogance and his utter lack of balls makes him a rather unusual cult figure, but the cerebral narrative seemed to embolden those who already felt pretty highly of themselves... many might not even of really liked football that much before his arrival and rarely games they weren't attending... as such, they desperately believe that Wenger, and only Wenger, can supply them with their required fix... if he goes, they were wrong and that's a tough pill to swallow... they would have to admit that they were duped... they will definitely resent whoever made them feel this way, but of course it will be too late by then... so when we go overboard with ridiculous comments bordering of anarchy, it scares the shit out of them and they shift their blame towards us rather than at those who really perpetrated this act of treason... we aren't the enemy... we simply woke much earlier and the reason our comments have gotten more vile in recent years is out of utter frustration... in order for any real change to occur at this club we need to bring as many supporters as possible with us or the big money interests will fade and our ultimate objective will be lost... so it's time to focus on the head instead of the heart for now
this window has just finished i am already thinking about who we will get for the january window we might try for khedira on a really low offer as he is free agent almost would help boost numbers in midfield in the new year as we will no doubt need to filling the numbers about then also i will hold my hands up and say i was wrong this morning for giving wenger stick and saying welbeck is rubbish i have been out in the cold light of day and had a chance to reevaluate the situation and realized that this could be a canny shrew transfer on wenger behalf actually if wenger can turn the clock back and work his magic on welbeck and get him scoring goals and improve his game then we could have a great underrated signing on our hands its wengers absolute trust in him that might be what makes him a great player as this is something that he never had at old mordor if anybody can make him a world beater wenger can he loves this little pet projects improving players against the odds welbeck has the skillset to be high class player upfornt he just needs to work very hard on his finishing i think once he gets a few goals under his belt he will settle in fine and he is a team player you could put him on the left against man city to shore up that side and he will put in a great shift without a complaint that could be his biggest asset to us or on the right whenever we need him there ithinkwenger might start himon the left against city to protect the left back against navas and i bet you if he does a great job we will take a shine to him quickly i am hopeing he will be one of those wenger gems that he finds and polishes up to a high finish i must admit i was annoyed as some other gunners were at not signing d / m and c / h but if wenger does win the league with this lot it will be his greatest win yet and what might play in to our hands is the unpredictable nature of the league in the last few seasons if we get on a good run at the right time we might be hard to stop look at city they should have never lost to stoke but the result is there in black and white for all to see and i think chelsea will hit the skids after a while to just because cesc and costa are doing well now thats there main threat but teams will work out how to stop them as the season goes on and chelsea will become predictable i think we might just do well this season after all
that's a joke but series I think Marco Silva has something about him with our players I think he get things rite and if not him there's tuchel or Henry, bergkamp or vieria if not experienced enough then go get Carlo antellotti if not him try Wagner at Huddersfield our own Klopp Jesus there loads we should got pep he wanted it and he wanted Henry as no 2 then we messed up that we should got klopp den we messed up that like it's time for change im 36 years age and since I was 16 I backed wenger it's time I'm tired tipy tapy even Laurent Blanca be good I'm getting to old but please mr arsenal board chips sausages gazides anyone make the order and bring back 89
they strip Conor, make him look like a victim to fans get behind him and then put the pressure on the champ and not the challenger, send him to the octagon against one of these guys, if he loses they would cover it up as «ah he made so much money, he was away for 2 years bla bla bla» and if he lands a punch or something and get a win, they would be like oh GOAT this and that.
Some of the comments made by our great manager this month have been really laughable BUT i expected nothing different as he will not sign anyone of note AS USUAL!!!!! The Yaya Sanogo signing looks even more ridiculous in the gran scheme of things BUT that's wenger for you, i also hope he has a conscience and understands that we need to win something this year and if not the league title then we must at least finish second NOT 3rd OR 4th to show some improvement anythingt other than that and he should not renew his contract.
Mata joined United from Chelsea four years ago after then manager Jose Mourinho allowed him to leave the club with David Moyes making a big signing, which did not save him his job, although it gave United supporters something to be positive about.
Its nice to see some people have open there eyes but all is true lets ask our selves have this team change from last season where are the experienced players that wenger talked about he selling us bull and every season he gets away with it the fans deserve better am from the caribbean so chance r i might never get to see arsenal live at the emirates because its too expensive at least the club should be winning things i know its important to balance the books you must BUT football is about trophies as well and thats were the balance lies how the hell can we go Six (6) seasons yes 6 without a trophy not even a FA cup or carling cup and no one says a word about the manager that is rubbish Arsenal live in the past too much the time is now this season for me is the absolute last for wenger to win something i do nt care how much money he has made the club and Wenger if you cant bring that then go work for an oil company and make them money and leave arsenal to a manager who is willing to win something not only buy players for 10 million who take 10 years to develop am frustrated with this man.
When I asked her recently how it's going, she laughed (something she does often and genuinely) and said that she and her friend, author Ann Patchett, whose surgeon husband is 16 years older, always say that if they can't make their marriages — a second for both — work with these men who so clearly adore them, then no one can make marriage work.

Not Daily Mail readers, that's for sure: «Prime Minister mauls best - selling author Hilary Mantel over «plastic princess made for breeding» jibe», a classic of its genre, and one my 22 year old self would thoroughly approved of had I written something similar for my then employer.

The example was used to show how irrational some clients can be; even when your returns are in the top 1 % of all investment managers out there, some people can still find something to complain about (as an aside, that is why the truly successful mutual fund managers quickly exit the public domain once they have made «enough», and then they tend to go super private by either managing their own money or investing privately on behalf of some particular clients that they know to be rational — when you're worth tens and tens of millions of dollars, you don't need to deal with people that don't truly believe that good value investing often means underperforming the S&P 500 at least one out of every three years).
It's little details like this that help a game be more immersive, sony is making a huge mistake by taking down the serves, and if they truly feel proud of supporting this type of games, then the more reason why they should help it as much as possible, just because it didn't sold a million in the first months of release doesn't mean the game isn't worth it, if anything, is among the few games this year that's actually a true video game, something made with soul and passion, not a plastic product like most games that have come out recently, especially with the whole loot box fiasco.
- Miyamoto has been considering an animated movie for many years - he says creating games and movies aren't really that similar - interactive and passive media are very different, so if he wanted to make a movie, he'd like to have a movie expert work on it - while meeting with many movie directors and producers, he was introduced to Illumination by Universal Parks & Resorts - Meledandri revealed that he had read Miyamoto's interviews and said that the ways they create are similar - the two ended up having a mutual understanding, and eventually said that they should do something together - Meledandri is focused on making the film with a reasonable cost and deadline in order for it to be a success - Miyamoto has felt that if they couldn't make something interesting, then it would be better to quit - they've already had multiple meetings for the screenplay so the project has actually progressed very far
Leaving EA is something we rarely see, which is why readers may notice I'm quite critical of games that ask for your money, sell you an incomplete game, and then spend years defending their EA status while continually making money on an unfinished project.
Once you begin taking on side contracts and finding alternative ways to complete a hit, it's easy to see that Square Enix and IO were determined to find what made the past 15 years of Hitman games so fun and then create something that on one hand feels like a «best of» love - letter to Blood Money, but also something innovative and totally fresh.
That all being said, if the process of prom was as hectic and bombastic as Monster Prom makes it out to be, then seventeen year old me would have missed out on something.
I agree, I hope hyper dbz gives them verification that there are still 2d fans, and begin making a game to specifically cater to them, variety is always good if done well, and i think all fans would be satisfied with a game similar to burst limit (just with more content, and a fighting system overhaul) if they gave it a chance, though i think they should give another studio a shot so we can get something new and innovative, its selfish of me but with what i've seen of xv I want dimps to stay with 3d for the next few years, or however long it would take o make xv2 (I assume that they're approaching the content grouping like the heroes games, dbz then db / non canon)
«It's really then that we said, «Hey, there's something out here...» Last year, we decided to make much more of a statement in the market, because there were so many people reaching out to us.»

However if we have a similar profile of volume loss as in the preceding two years then random variability looks very unlikely and I'll be veering to the following viewpoint — that something new and radical has happened in the seasonal cycle of sea - ice loss, a new factor that in principle could have the power to make a virtually sea ice free state in September plausible this decade.
Either «something» caused that and, not being man - made GHGs or (obviously) sulphate aerosols, it would be quite safe to call it a natural phenomenon Well, if you insist on looking at individual years and * not * smoothing the data at all, then given that interannual variability can quite easily be.15 oC, we can take.3 oC away as it is meaningless chaos and not indicative of a trend.
If volcanos [or whatever] were emitting 1 trillion tons per year [something we probably should assume has never occurred in the history of earth] it then takes 5100 years this constant level of CO2 emission to make 1 atm of CO2.
Citing a seven year old citation of what was then a seven year old citation of something to irrelevant to the paper in question, then making insupportable assertions about inevitability (which, ironic, as complex dynamical systems pretty much argue against the precept of predetermination), and ending with an implied causal relationship from the symptoms of Forcings to the Forcings themselves, served with a dollop of ad hom..
Our group of modelers is 99.99 % made up of people who are very careful and very respectful of others. We have to be that way in order to take the time to build our models. It takes a great deal of patience to assemble our models to install the engines, electronics, control surfaces and then after all that hard work we risk it all by taking it outside and flying it.So we have to be very very careful or we risk losing something we have put a lot of time and money into.We are never going to do anything to risk our model ourselves or anyone else because doing so would ruin the entire hobby.The.001 % who don't go thru this or who just don't have any respect for anyone in the first place are dangerous and should by all means be apprehended and punished for their actions. But for those of us who have been flying for years and years in what was a safe and fun hobby have been grouped together with the few and we are all being punished for their actions.I find this reaction by the government to be barbaric, unjust, cruel, and just plain idiotic.
Aaron Street: Yeah, I think on the flip side for us is when we implemented Slack a year and a half ago or so, it definitely had the advantage of making sure people were part of the group and able to be in touch more rather than just occasional check ins when there was something due from them, but there were times when it had the opposite effect of way too much noise where people were just chatting all day long and the chatting was really fun and so you didn't want to miss it so then everybody was just glued to their computer chatting with each other rather than doing work.
And so I'm trying to hold to that, and if something doesn't absolutely need changing, I'm trying to stick with that probably at least through the end of the year before I make major changes, and then evaluate and see where to go from there.
