Its seems to me that both the club and it's fans are not serious.Anytime Arsenal sign a youngster from another team who is dubbed the next whatever people come out and say Arsenal have just signed a youngster who may or may not
make it and that Arsene should sign ready made.They say it to seem as if it's a bad thing.Now that Chris Willock is leaving I'm anticipating that a lot of people are soon going to be blaming the same Wenger who actually likes bringing
in youngsters.Anyway you have to look at the reasons he lfet.It's for game
time and to him he thinks its a good choice.The bright side is that he's not Arsenal's most talented player.The likes of Donyell Malen, Yassin Fortune, Reiss Nelson
in my eyes have more potential as wingers.I also think Arsenal should be very excited about Eddie Nketiah and Stephy Mavididi.They can be world
class strikers
in the future particularly Eddie.
Remember if you aren't at the head of the
class when it comes to the development of young talent, which means eyes on the ground everywhere, a vast array of connections with soccer associations throughout Europe and beyond and a manager willing to properly train and play said blue chippers, (like the 90s Arsenal or clubs like the modern day Monaco and Dortmund) you need to spend to win... anything
in between is highly problematic... failure to
make the necessary changes leaves you
in the proverbial «no man's land» and that is currently where we reside... it's difficult to get out of this rut... just ask either of the Milan teams... next step after that is being known as a «seller», which could be us already if and when Sanchez leaves... there are only two teams that have worn this moniker
in recent
times and had some decent success and that is Athletico Madrid and Dortmond, which only occurred when they both brought
in new, charismatic leaders
in Simmone & Klopp... the odds that Wenger could conjure up the magic to repeat the performances of a bygone era are incredibly low, so why prolong the agony... he's not willing to create the hierarchy necessary to go the youth route and he's unwilling to put his team's potential success ahead of his job security by laying it on the line with Moustache, so it's
time to place all your chips
in the middle or go gently into that good night
The 21 - year - old has at
times been regarded as one of the most promising youngsters
in Europe, and has the

So it's that
time of the year when we as arsenal fans
make stupid predictions, assume that we will sign world
class players, believe
in Arsene for another year and next year we do it again well let me be clear since you all didn't read this last year.

We finally have a solid striker (even if he will take some adaptation
time I think he'll be true
class)
in Lacazette, we have solid center backs (once they are all healthy) much better than
in recent seasons, Giroud is our killer weapon off the bench rather than the key we are relying on as the main source of goals, Coquelin and Elneny are now midfield fall - back options rather than Flamini (no offense Mathieu, I appreciated your efforts, just
making the obvious comparison), two high quality keepers, etc..
Mertz should never have been our captain
in the first place... who has ever heard of a team that
makes 11th hour transfer buys (Arteta & Mertz) then seemingly places those same individuals into prominent leadership positions from the get - go... indicative of the problems that have permeated our clubhouse for the better part of 7 years under the Kroenke & Wenger... what is wrong with the players chosen and / or the management style of Wenger that doesn't develop and / or encourage strong leadership from within... Mertz was the fine collecting lackey from year one... this is what happens when you don't get world -
class players because many
times they want to have a voice on and off the pitch and this can't happen when you play for a fragile manager who has developed a coddling wage structure where everyone is rewarded for simply wearing the shirt and participating
in the process... not enough balance between performance and pay, combined with the obvious favoritism shown to some players regardless of their glaring lack of production... remember that Ramsey has played
in positions that
make no sense considering his skill - set (out wide) and has forced other players off the field or into equally unfamiliar positions with little or no justification (let's remember when you read articles about how Ramsey's goals this upcoming season being the potential X-factor for our success that this is the same individual who didn't score a goal until the final week last season)... this of course is just one example of many... before I hear another word from Mertz I want this club to address the fact that no former player of any real consequence has any important role
in the management structure of this club, yet several former Gunners have expressed serious interest
in just such an endeavor (Henry, Viera, Adams, Bergkamp... just to name a few legends)... there is only one answer: an extremely insecure manager!!!
its ridiculous and embarrassing and goes to show that the real agenda from both wenger and the board is keeping the books straight its the continual party line of «
in the summer, we'll do this» then the player is unavailable there used to be a
time not that long ago when you knew that whoever they brought
in was going to be
class, now you know that whoever they bring
in will be cheap and wont do much of a job, Sanchez has been the only real good bit of transfer business and I mean really good bit since we were supposed to be free of financial restraints
makes you wonder if we ever really had any as its still not changed.
Up front we have a few world -
class players surrounded by some serious pretenders... Sanchez is by far the most accomplished player
in our attack but the controversy surrounding his contractual mishandling could see him go before the window closes or most definitely by season's end... obviously a mistake by both parties involved, as Sanchez's exploits have never been more on display than
in North London, but the club's irresponsible wage structure and lack of real intent have been the real undoing
in this mess... Lacazette, who I think has some world -
class skills as a front man, will only be as good as the players and system around him, which is troubling due to our current roster and Wenger's love of sideways passing... Walcott should have been sold years ago, enough said, and Welbeck should never have been brought
in from the get - go... both of these players have suffered numerous injuries over their respective careers and neither are good enough to overcome such difficulties: not to mention, they both are below average first - touch players, which should be the baseline test for any player coming to a Wenger - led Arsenal team... Perez should have been played wide left or never purchased at all; what a huge waste of
time and money, which is ridiculous considering our penny pinching ways and the fact that fans had been clamoring for a real striker for years... finally Giroud, the fact that he stills wears the jersey is a direct indictment of this club's failure to get things right... this isn't necessarily an attack on Giroud because I think he has some highly valued skills, but not for a team that has struggled to take their sideways soccer to the next level, as his presence slows their game even more, combined with our average, at best, finishing skills... far too often those
in charge have either settled or chosen half - measures and ultimately it is us that suffer because no matter what happens Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke will always
make more money whereas we will always be the ones paying for their mistakes... so every
time someone suggests we should just shut - up and support the team just think of all the sacrifices you've
made along the way and simply reply... f *** off
Kos achilles ramsey hamstring Sanchez is gone and people do get sick and ozil probably needed a day off and why when your the top player maybe you get a little more lee way than the 20 year old tryi ng to
make the team ozils mistake was his post arsene is smart and you would rid us of our legend manager and our top international world
class players keep wenger
in his
time will come im sure if you were a player you would love playing for him but we all have our opinions and mine is no more right than anyone else ’s
Lacazette is a
class CF, he has never played outside of France so he may take a bit of
time to adapt to a new league and language... Please remember that it took TH14 a short while to get going
in the red and white, if Lacazette doesn't hit the ground scoring a hattrick then please support him, if he can replicate what he does for OL for AFC then Wenger can
make him a better CF.
4) yes Keita: he's got a release clause that get's activated next year it's around 45 mil if I remember correctly, i highly rate him as the all rounder Dm / Cm / Am does it all and can fill the cazorla void instantly, for anyone that are reading the 70 - 80 million valuation I don't see any team paying that, but
making him the most expensive African player will sure tempt him to move Bid 45 mil with add ons and there is a big chance of getting him, if they don't accept that offer to
make a red bull commercial that should boost the sales of that terrible tasting energy drink, Sanchez Ozil Ramsey ox bellerin wenger it's
time to get drinkng that's Just good marketing for redbull, a team with no history or fans shouldn't have a say
in who to keep
in the first place they are a stepping stone to bigger things and we are the team to
make you world
class, wan na eventually play
in barca or real look at our track record we will get you there!!
lets all thank arsene for finally doing the right thing only
time will tell but have we finally signed the DM we need STRONG MINDED NO HOLD BAR MIDFIELDER WE HAVE ALL CRAVED, but lets take it back we all know it will take 2 or 3 more like minded players to
make us great again, he has tricked us all buy buying one superstar
in the last 3 windows ALEXIS, OZIL and CHEC great players but can't do it all on their own, spending huge amount of money and saying we can buy the best players, on the surface this looks great we are buying top top players big prices but instead of spending his usual 50 mill on 2, 3, 4, 0r 5 players he has pulled the wool over are eyes with 1 superstar thinking the fans are that dumb enough to believe it, infact he has never spent his budget only balanced on sales too purchases, i love arsenal but this summer i hope for more he needs to do that consistently through out the team spend the same amount on the team stop balancing the american owners, grow a pair say yes we will buy a top defender and a world
class striker, stan we love arsenal please be one of us do whats needed then you will fell proud as we are and we will adore you for it.
But
in a period of
time when the fans are calling for experienced, world
class players, players that will
make us title contenders once again, the signing of Asano is nothing but disappointing.
Its simple really, Wenger is a very poor manager and has been poor very almost 10 years now, he
makes insanely stupid decisions and moves than not even a non league manager would
make e.g Kim Kallstrom, 40mil + 1 for Suarez, not siging an out field player last season, playing Ozil on the left wing for some
time, Flamini siging, being snubbed by Vardy etc, the list goes on and on and on, Chelsea go
in for Kante
in within 4 days deal is done, But noooo Wenger goes
in for crack head Vardy and gets snubbed, I'm sorry but if we had to choose over 2 new world
class sigings or a new coach I'd opt for the new coach, Wenger is a poor poor manager, he ia lower than the level of our club, anyway thanks
in advance for the thumbs down.....
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current players, very few would
make sense
in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can
make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes
in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess
in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself
in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these players possess the skill - set required
in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling
in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly
makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points
in the latter part of last season... it always
made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis
in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong
times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself
in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him
in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive
in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many
times since arriving and that the players
in front of him, minus Sanchez,
make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence
in Real or the space and protection he receives
in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived
in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components...
in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them
in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion
in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3 players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin
in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation...
in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't
make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often
in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and
in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would
make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at
times, has showed some world -
class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place
in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
this window has just finished i am already thinking about who we will get for the january window we might try for khedira on a really low offer as he is free agent almost would help boost numbers
in midfield
in the new year as we will no doubt need to filling the numbers about then also i will hold my hands up and say i was wrong this morning for giving wenger stick and saying welbeck is rubbish i have been out
in the cold light of day and had a chance to reevaluate the situation and realized that this could be a canny shrew transfer on wenger behalf actually if wenger can turn the clock back and work his magic on welbeck and get him scoring goals and improve his game then we could have a great underrated signing on our hands its wengers absolute trust
in him that might be what
makes him a great player as this is something that he never had at old mordor if anybody can
make him a world beater wenger can he loves this little pet projects improving players against the odds welbeck has the skillset to be high
class player upfornt he just needs to work very hard on his finishing i think once he gets a few goals under his belt he will settle
in fine and he is a team player you could put him on the left against man city to shore up that side and he will put
in a great shift without a complaint that could be his biggest asset to us or on the right whenever we need him there ithinkwenger might start himon the left against city to protect the left back against navas and i bet you if he does a great job we will take a shine to him quickly i am hopeing he will be one of those wenger gems that he finds and polishes up to a high finish i must admit i was annoyed as some other gunners were at not signing d / m and c / h but if wenger does win the league with this lot it will be his greatest win yet and what might play
in to our hands is the unpredictable nature of the league
in the last few seasons if we get on a good run at the right
time we might be hard to stop look at city they should have never lost to stoke but the result is there
in black and white for all to see and i think chelsea will hit the skids after a while to just because cesc and costa are doing well now thats there main threat but teams will work out how to stop them as the season goes on and chelsea will become predictable i think we might just do well this season after all
Simeone; if he comes he will not stay Laudrup has
class, is young and is not a big name, he would have hunger and could get a sense of loyalty given enough
time to
make his stuff as Wenger did
in his
time.
To see marked improvements
in the teams offensive motions, to see the younger
class take steps
in the right direction, and to not only
make it into the playoffs, but to put up a real fight this
time around, to play like they belong there.
Welbeck is not good enoough to be bought at that
time, Arsenal was
in a transition and real
class signings should be
made from now on.
Im not saying Wenger is an idiot but his stubborn refusal to move with the
times has cost us dear over the last few years and as Ive already stated earlier
in the conversation our resurgence has
in part had a lot to do with the competition dropping off
in performance rather than us leaping forward, that said we have
made improvements and we are playing far better, but I will bet my house that no world
class striker will be brought
in in the summer and there wont be any really important key players brought
in during the summer as Wenger has already laid out his stall
in regards to this.
As long as you support your club through the hard
times and good
times then you are a fan regardless of what you say it is about the heart not the words but the heart.Also not only stats are facts but they might also be quiet misleading.For Afobe i will not comment anymore but i do know for sure that he will reach my expectation and maybe you do not see it that way and you might feel i am not speaking with facts or whatever but life itself has no formula and is not really bound by facts because we
make the facts.Afobe can become a world
class player and i do not care if any manager
in the EPL does not see it that way but i see it that way.For talent is given to the one who can harness it and once things go right then i expect him to be there.No one can take that away from him.
a manager
in the mould of simone, pochettino or jardim would
make him world
class the kid's got discipline and flair and sometimes his movement is superb other
times no comment, but hes part of our youth set up and would like for him to come good.
Bringing
in a new striker might
make welbeck and Theo upset but will provide healthy competition for giroud... its
time to be ruthless the same way we fked ospina... why not do the same with giroud??? We are arsenal, we always had world
class strikers.
of course no team wants to lose but I can guarantee you that the reaction by the Chelski fans after today's results are nowhere near what would have occurred if we shit the bed on opening day... the difference is they have tasted EPL success on more than one occasion recently, they have won the Champions League and they have done it with 3 different managers
in the last 12 years with a similar, if not smaller, wage bill than us...
in comparison, we have been experiencing our own personal Groundhog Day with nothing to show for it but a few silvery trinkets that would barely wet the appetite of a world -
class club... so it's
time for Wenger to stop gloating over our week one escape act and
make some substantial moves before this window closes or I fear that things will take a horrible turn when the inevitable happens... living on a knife's edge is no way to go through a full season of football and regardless of what side of the argument you fall on, you could feel high levels of toxicity
