Still, I couldn't help but be particularly intrigued by Green Guerillas, a local non-profit here in New York City that supports community gardens, when they sent out a press release saying that they believed «changing weather patterns» offered an opportunity to
make vegetable beds bountiful through the holiday shopping season.

vegetables may sound boring but I guarantee that the eggs and cheese
make this humble dish simply divine.
Sturdy - leafed kale, known to do well in the cold, together with a hearty grain and lentils
make a nice
bed for the
vegetables.

We usually autopilot to omelets when we think about egg - and -
vegetable breakfasts, but a frittata gets my brunch - at - home vote for the fact that you can let it cook in the oven while you shower (or lie in
bed with the shades drawn until the timer goes off) and because you don't have to worry about wrecking it when you try — and fail — to flip it without
making a mess, something most of us have trouble with even when we're firing on all cylinders.
Preventing disease means having the forethought to eat your fruits and
vegetables, drink pure clean water, order green tea instead of coffee,
make the healthiest choice available, cut out fast food when possible, go to
bed at a decent hour, keep a positive mental attitude, find abundant joy in the simple little things, and get some form of exercise each and every day.
If you
make a gallon at a time, you can use some to mop floors, put some in a spray bottle to disinfect food and water bowls, litter boxes, the air, bathroom and fixtures, door handles, counter tops, sponges, fruits and
vegetables, cutting boards, sponges,
bedding, walls, remote controls, cell phones... Fill another spray bottle with plain white vinegar to use as a cleaner.

In New York, you always think that if you try harder, work longer hours,
make more money, spend more time at the gym, put more effort into networking, read more books, go to
bed earlier, drink less booze, avoid negative people, be less shallow about the whole sex thing, be more supportive to your close friends, eat more
vegetables and stop smoking so many damn cigarettes, you will eventually be able pull off that great Miracle Of Miracles i.e. you'll finally, finally, finally be able to live in Manhattan while simultaneously leading a healthy, productive, emotionally - balanced life.

make a great edging choice for raised
vegetable beds, too, as they're perfect for drainage and provide a strong barrier against pests such as slugs and snails.
