Even without it, I remember that for about 2 months I cut out most grains and fruits and I gained weight???? I was
making veggie smoothies galore and having lots of bean / legume soups.

smoothies and juices, as well as pasta sauces, quinoa bowls and

After
making cauliflower
smoothies all through spring (and now continuing in the summer), I thought this lovely nutritious
veggie would be amazing in nice cream as well.
It really is delicious, I think cauliflower is so underrated but hopefully all these yummy
smoothie and nice cream recipe will
make people appreciate it more — such a versatile
veggie.
A fruity filled

smoothie - loving / nice cream thing in a jar!!!! I guess I better go grab a spoon because I approve!
Don't get me wrong, I love veggies and
veggie smoothies — But shining light on other «super foods» that are in the fruit family should encourage more people to
make those health lifestyle changes!

veggie smoothies all the time!
Some of my favourite snacks are pieces of fruit / dried fruit with a handful of nuts,
veggie dippers / oatcakes with hummus, avocado with hemp seeds, home -
made energy bars / balls, chia pudding and
smoothies.
Breakfast:
Smoothie made with spinach, avocado, blueberries and nut milk Lunch:
Veggie chili Snack: Carrots with hummus Dinner: Burger wrapped in Swiss chard, with sides of quinoa and steamed broccoli Dessert: Chia pudding
My usual
smoothie has always been
made up of mostly fruit with lots of leafy greens, but in an effort to up my
veggie intake even more I've been aiming for mostly greens with a bit of fruit.
If I end up with excess I
make some no recipe recipes — a
veggie pasta,
smoothies with leftover fruits, roasted veggies, a soup etc., things that use up the excess.
I mainly crave something sweet for breakfast (oatmeal,
smoothie, overnight oats) but every now and then I want something savory
made with eggs (omelet, frittata,
veggie & egg skillet).
Kiwi and banana counteract any of the
veggie bitterness, and a spoonful of granola offers just enough crunch to
make this
smoothie feel more like a meal.
We regularly drink green juices and
smoothies,
make chia pudding,
veggie spaghetti, salads, and dehydrated crackers.
I am more of a
veggie omelet type of breakfast gal, but one bite, and these pancakes
make me forget about green
smoothies and
veggie scrambles.
Other ways to squeeze in more fruits and veggies:
Make fruit (or
veggie)
smoothies, use fruit or vegetable salsas or vegetable reduction sauces (sauces
made from puréed vegetables) over fish or chicken, add shredded carrots to your sandwich, try grilled vegetables, and try puréed vegetable soups.
The burst of blueberries
makes this bar delicious on its own, crumbled on top of Greek yogurt or blended in your daily fruit /
veggie smoothie for a fast, convenient, delicious milk - boosting...
But fruit purees are delicious when added to a
smoothie, while the
veggie ones
make for a great dip if you're noshing on pretzels or crackers.
Dairy - free
smoothies in a thermos along with meat roll - ups and
veggie sticks
make a great well - rounded school lunch.
Some quick options include a
veggie, herb, and avocado omelet with a side of fruit; muesli
made with fruit, nuts, rolled oats, and cinnamon mixed with Greek yogurt; or a
smoothie made with fresh greens, other veggies, fruit, protein powder, almond milk, and fresh ginger root.
I got myself a fantastic juicer,
made smoothies as meal replacements, found filling protein from avocados, and replaced my grilled chicken and
veggie dinners with lentils and kale.
Stinging nettle can be taken by
making a tea with the dried herb, mixing a powdered version into
veggie and fruit
smoothies, or taken in capsule form and homeopathic remedies.
One Sunday, I stocked up on groceries for the week and
made veggie - heavy meals and lots of nutrient - packed
smoothies.
:) It was so good, not like the other
veggie kinda
smoothies I had
made previously that almost
made me puke.
