The cooking water solves the problem in my opinion, when it cools it is almost like gelatine, I guess
that makes the hummus so perfect.
I make hummus so I always have tahini, but it would be nice to use it for other recipes as well.

so far, just this weekend I
made the sweet potato brownie,
hummus, chickpea coconut curry... all
so delicious!
For packed lunches I normally
make big batches of quinoa and brown rice with apple cider vinegar / lime and salt and then do a big thing of roasted veg — things like sweet potato and squash cubes,
so I throw a mix of that into a tupperwear with some raw veg — things like avocado, grated carrot, tomatoes and then some
hummus / lentils / chickpeas / seeds for protein.
Sadly food processor isn't up to
making nut butters and really creamy
hummus so some things don't turn out perfect.
My third staple is
hummus, either my classic
hummus or my roasted red pepper and paprika
hummus, both are super easy to
make and last for a week or
so in the fridge.
I
made a goal this month to eat more veggies, especially raw ones,
so I've been taking a baggie of sliced carrots, celery, and baby cucumbers to dip in
hummus (Oasis roasted garlic with hot sauce) as a snack.
We discovered it at a
hummus bar, too, and I'm
so glad I'm able to

make» talk.But once I * popped * the pea free from the skin it befuddled me what the heck would happen to the skin in the food processor

I would have never thought to use
hummus as a sandwich spread before, but that
makes so much sense.
The only way I like chick peas is in
hummus, and I usually
make it from dried beans,
so this was the missing link for me!
I do find that brussel sprouts and
hummus make a great combo,
so I guess I need to explore the possibilities of raw sprouts more often!
But every time I
made my own
hummus, I was
so disappointed with the grainy texture, I gave up and bought Sabra.
So the peeled - chick pea
hummus is now sitting in the fridge — and it's definitely the prettiest
hummus I've ever
made!
So after reading this post I'm figuring its fate and I'd better just go ahead and
make this
hummus.
