making chalk paint with PoP, it can be a little harder to sand, not impossible, but you may have to add more elbow grease to get the painted finish smooth.
Note: When
making chalk paint with Plaster of Paris you can not use a paint with a primer in it.
It has more pigment and binders that may cause a problem in
making chalk paint.

make chalk paint all you need is unsanded grout which can be found in the tile section at Lowes and your choice of latex paint.
If I could only buy the commercially
made chalk paint I'd never get to use it.
