making macadamia nut butter, which could be completely amazing!
I was just thinking about that yesterday when
I made another macadamia nut butter concoction.
In a food processor, blend macadamia nuts til
you make macadamia nut butter.

made these for my daughter's birthday with
macadamia nut / cashew
butter and extra cashews since we're avoiding peanuts and it came out great!
3 cups freshly ground or sprouted flour (buy sprouted flour here,
make sprouted flour here) 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder (buy aluminum - free baking powder here) 1 teaspoon baking soda (buy aluminum - free baking soda here) 1 1/4 teaspoons salt (buy unrefined sea salt here) 1 cup (2 sticks)
butter, plus more for skillet (buy grass - fed
butter here) 2 cups whole cane sugar (buy whole cane sugar here) 2 eggs 2 teaspoons good vanilla (buy organic extracts here) 3/4 cup chopped
macadamia nuts, preferably soaked & dehydrated (buy soaked & dehydrated
nuts here, see how to
make them here) 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips (see how to
make GAPS white chocolate chips here)
But I decided to
make a salad out of the combination by throwing together the cabbage and beets with chickpeas, watercress,
macadamia nuts, sunflower seeds, more lime juice and a drizzle of sunflower seed
butter.

macadamia nuts in a food processor, but you can use almond
butter or any
nut butter you prefer)
And, depending on your taste, you might choose to
make a few of your favorite bars multiple times rather than every recipe in the book: - I use a wide variety of
nut / seed
butters throughout the book (almond, cashew, coconut, hazelnut,
macadamia, peanut, pecan, walnut, pumpkin seed, sunflower seed), but most of them use almond
butter and peanut
butter.
I have never
made walnut
butter (it sounds pretty bombastic), but have a ton of
macadamia nut butter to get rid of — weekend project!
To
make that recipe simply substitute raw
macadamia nuts for the almonds and raw
macadamia nut butter for the roasted almond
butter.
I LOVE
macadamia nuts in cookies, but never thought to
make nut butter with them.
I would love to
make some frothy bulletproof coffee situation, then follow it up with some
macadamia nut butter, later I'd
make a delicious blended soup with coconut milk, curry, butternut squash and kale.
I recommend
making both the mango and the
macadamia nut butter fillings in advance so that you don't have to wait for them to cool during the process of
making the cups.
