This was my first go at
making homemade nut butter and it so far surpasses any store - bought variety (even the most expensive ones).
I usually take jars of
nut butter,
make a batch of my superfood crackers, kale chips, energy balls,
homemade granola, cans of chickpeas and beans, tahini, raw
nuts and seeds.
Yesterday I actually
made a
homemade peanut
butter recipe for Anytime Health's Blog that is going up in a few weeks and had left over
nuts.
I added a tablespoon of some cashew
nut butter I
made, and injected them with
homemade salted caramel sauce after scooping out the cookie dough.
Third, they're
made with
homemade sunflower seed
butter, although you could use any seed or
nut butter you'd like.
I've tried
making homemade nut butter a few times... it's so time consuming, I think because I just add the
nuts without anything to help it come out smoothly (like oil or sweetener).
