I just happened to
make hummus for dinner tonight as well.
It's a long childhood memory of peeling chickpeas with my sister whenever my father would
make hummus for us.
I made this hummus for a 20s and 30s lunch and then told my mother about it.

for a week or so in the fridge.
You do get what you pay
for, as the stronger your machine is the easier it will be to use and you'll be able to
make smoother
hummus, better pesto, proper nut butters and great raw treats.

For Hummus, it only takes about 15 minutes to
make this if you are using canned chickpeas.

The Black Bean
Hummus is
made with lime adobo and topped with tomatillo salsa verde, so naturally as soon as I tasted it, I knew it was destined to be turned into a dressing
for Mexican - inspired chopped salad.
And then I had a dream that I mixed it all up with some Sabra classic
hummus... and I knew I had to
make it happen
for real.
Finally, as it is a
hummus, chickpeas
make up the base — I have used tinned chickpeas
for ease but by all means, soak and cook from scratch.
