portfolios enjoy Berkshire - Hathaway characteristics, i.e., finances are strong, the companies have superior
managements and the prospects for NAV growth appear very good.
After entering things like your contact information, your birth date, social security number, employment information, and your checking account information (they use your existing checking account for easy transfers and
management of your money), you will be able to start investing in their
portfolios of stocks and bonds.

portfolio that perpetually grows into a
stock heavy
portfolio can not be an efficient risk
management portfolio since the equity market can not mathematically become the entire pool
of financial assets.
While the benefits
of owning
stock index ETFs over
stock portfolios have been proven in many studies
of active and passive
management, there is less evidence
of an advantage
of commodity ETFs replacing commodity futures
portfolios.

portfolio management in 1999, ETFs were not as ubiquitous as they are today, and it was still very expensive to assemble a basket
of stocks as an individual investor.
