management teams had played in the county cup competition.

Alexis came with a good spirit, seing Ozil on board, thinking a
team would be built around them but year after year, it is no top class addition with a guessing game plan, weakness all over the pitch, players out of position, a
team scared to
play and lost as manager... Sanchez then started to ask more money, we said no as to Ozil; waiting 6 month later to be on last year contract... The all
management is nuts and Alexis or any players try until they get fed up, Ozil
plays to get fit for wrld cup and his value back...
If we start this season with those two in our starting 11 it will be a clear sign from this organization that nothing
has changed and that we will never get it right until both Kroenke and Wenger are gone... neither one of these players should still be with our club at this point because they represent the settling half - measures that
have plagued this
team for a number of years... this is what I call the «no man's land» of the soccer world, where
teams don't
have enough talented young players, unlike a Monaco or Dortmund, because they
have lost the plot from an organizational standpoint... they are so reliant on one individual to run the whole operation that their once relevant scouting department
has become so antiquated that it can no longer find those hidden gems it once
had... furthermore, when you leave all decision - making to a manager who despises any dissenting opinions, your
management team becomes little more than a stagnant group of «yes men» and no new ideas emerge... so instead of developing a
team with the qualities necessary to excel in a particular system, you continually make half - brain purchases year after year to stifle dissent from the ticket - buying public, then try desperately to finagle together a lineup regardless of what
would make positional sense...
have you ever heard of a
team who
plays players out of position so often... of course not because that manager
would likely be fired and never work for a
team of any consequence ever again
I know Arsenal all too well and trust me we
would've still lost.A lot of people think this Arsenal squad isn't good enough to win the league but I beg to differ.Give this same squad to Rafa Benitez or any world class manager even without any signing before the transfer window ends and watch us
play like you
've never seen before. The problem in this
team has always been tactics, mentality and mismanagement. This is what
has really been disturbing us for several seasons but alwas goes ignored.Mark my words that if Arsenal get everyone they're supposed to we're not winning the league if those three things aren't checked. We need signings but our problem is much bigger than signings.Give this same squad to Klopp or a too manager and you
'd be shocked some players who were called average will be
playing differently. You know why?Strong mentality, proper
management and good tactics count.
Mertz should never
have been our captain in the first place... who
has ever heard of a
team that makes 11th hour transfer buys (Arteta & Mertz) then seemingly places those same individuals into prominent leadership positions from the get - go... indicative of the problems that
have permeated our clubhouse for the better part of 7 years under the Kroenke & Wenger... what is wrong with the players chosen and / or the
management style of Wenger that doesn't develop and / or encourage strong leadership from within... Mertz was the fine collecting lackey from year one... this is what happens when you don't get world - class players because many times they want to
have a voice on and off the pitch and this can't happen when you
play for a fragile manager who
has developed a coddling wage structure where everyone is rewarded for simply wearing the shirt and participating in the process... not enough balance between performance and pay, combined with the obvious favoritism shown to some players regardless of their glaring lack of production... remember that Ramsey
has played in positions that make no sense considering his skill - set (out wide) and
has forced other players off the field or into equally unfamiliar positions with little or no justification (let's remember when you read articles about how Ramsey's goals this upcoming season being the potential X-factor for our success that this is the same individual who didn't score a goal until the final week last season)... this of course is just one example of many... before I hear another word from Mertz I want this club to address the fact that no former player of any real consequence
has any important role in the
management structure of this club, yet several former Gunners
have expressed serious interest in just such an endeavor (Henry, Viera, Adams, Bergkamp... just to name a few legends)... there is only one answer: an extremely insecure manager!!!
The best and classiest F you to Arsense and club owners
would be to
play brilliantly, contend for golden boot, thank all the fans for all their support as you leave and let the
team management really suffer your loss.
The
team plays like they want him out and the fans clearly don't want him at the club — at any other club this
would mean one thing but with Arsenal there seems a lack of
management decision making — for me its a no brainer..
Nothing like one underachiever blowing smoke up the ass of another... we know that Ozil
has some incredible technical gifts, but to be considered the best you
have to bring more than just assists to the table... for me, a top player
has to possess a more well - rounded game, which doesn't mean they need to be a beast on both ends of the pitch, but they must
have the ability to take their game to another level when it matters most... although he amassed some record - like stats early on, it set the bar too high, so when people expected him to duplicate those numbers each year the pressure seemed to get the best of our soft - spoken star... obviously that's not an excuse for what
has happened in the meantime, but it's important to make note of a few things: (1) his best year was a transition year for many of the traditionally dominant
teams in the EPL, so that clearly made the numbers appear better than they actually were and (2) Wenger's system, or lack thereof, didn't do him any favours; by
playing him out of position and by not acquiring world - class striker and / or right - side forward that
would best fit an Ozil - centered offensive scheme certainly hurt his chances to repeat his earlier peformances, (3) the loss of Cazorla, who took a lot of pressure off Ozil in the midfield and was highly efficient when it came to getting him the ball in space, negatively impacted his effectiveness and (4) he likewise missed a good chunk of games and frankly never looked himself when he eventually returned to the field... overall the Ozil experiment
has had mixed reviews and rightfully so, but I do
have some empathy for the man because he
has always carried himself the same way, whether for Real or the German National
team, yet he
has only suffered any lengthy down periods with Arsenal... to me that goes directly to this club's inability to surround him with the necessary players to succeed, especially for someone who is a pass first type of player; as such, this simply highlights our club's ineffective and antiquated transfer policies... frankly I'm disappointed in both Ozil and our
management team for not stepping up when it counted because they
had a chance to do something special, but they didn't
have it in them... there is no one that better exemplifies our recent history than Ozil, brief moments of greatness undercut by long periods of disappointing
play, only made worse by his mopey posturing like a younger slightly less awkward Wenger... what a terribly waste
just think of the lineup we could
have had if our
management team had any foresight and changed their fiscal policies when they promised we could compete with any
team in the world... instead we are a
team that sells it's stars, let's it's top players rundown their contracts and doesn't properly produce and / or develop their young talent... remember when we
played Bayern last year we
had a higher weekly wage bill and yet they
had Lewandowski, Vidal, Mueller, Ribery, Neuer, Lahm, Alonso among others in their lineup... if that doesn't open your eyes to the utter failure of those making soccer decsions, nothing will
we
have become so reliant upon one individual to run the whole operation that our once relevant scouting department
has become so stagnant that it can no longer find those hidden gems it once... when this occurs the
management team, who by this juncture is little more than a congregation of spefically chosen «yes» men, making it incredibly difficult for new ideas to emerge and / or transfers / contract renegotiations to be dealt with in a timely and effective manner... so instead of developing a
team with the qualities necessary to excel in a particular system, you continually make half - brain purchases then try desperately to finagle together a lineup regardless of what
would make positional sense...
have you ever heard of a
team who
plays players out of position so often... of course not because that manager
would likely be fired and never work for a
team of any consequence ever again
Critics should not just come for the sake of it, am one of gooners who
has felt its time Wenger packed his memory off the emirates as a Manager some five years ago, but of recent we
have seen some tremendous improvements from tactical point of view of the game to player
management, in fact I swallowed my words when I saw Moyes leap flogging the biggest
team in EPL and yet many Arsenal wanted him at Emirates to replace the Prof.. We can not down
play the improvements of most of
teams in the EPL ladder, Southampton, West Ham, Swansea, Liverpool, Spurs for the past two years.
In the cold light of day we
have to be brutally honest, no where else in world football
would such shambolic
management of top players be allowed to go on to such a degree where the players are clueless, not organised, seem to regress under wenger, no fire in their belly and are literally
playing the worst football of any
team i
have seen at Highbury and the Emirtaes.
never waste CAPITAL LETTERS on an article about Chambers at this juncture... I still can't believe that no one from
management has ever explained why such a frugal club spent so much money on him in the first place... we haggle for months and years with clubs for players who could
have a monumental impact on the very future of our club but somehow we found $ 16 million for someone who couldn't regularly crack a Southampton lineup (very fishy)... don't get me wrong, I like what he showed at times last season in Middlesbourogh but from the handful of games I watched him
play I still
have some serious questions about his consistency as a back - line player in the EPL; as such he should prove himself on loan for another season, making sure that he goes to a
team that wants him in the starting 11... bottom line, let's not get bogged down with the semantics of peripheral players and focus on the real task at hand = figure out who the hell is going to be our starting 11 for the foreseeable future, which means getting contracts signed, getting rid of a lot of deadwood and bringing in talented players into the positions which truly need upgrading... the rest is just unnecessary noise
