Dr. Best's love for ophthalmology initially developed during veterinary school where she was drawn to both the medical and surgical aspects of
managing animal eye disease in order to improve her patient's vision and quality of life.

manage to do this while living in the most expensive area in the country, going back to school for another graduate degree and maintaining my other life responsibilities including my family and even other volunteer obligations.
