I work in animal rescue as
a volunteer foster home for Golden Retrievers.
All of our dogs are placed in loving,
volunteer foster homes until they are adopted.
MISSION STATEMENT: Coco's Heart Dog Rescue is a primarily volunteer - driven organization that welcomes dogs to rescue from unfortunate situations and houses them in
volunteer foster homes while preparing them for adoption placement.
The majority of our dogs, however, are kept in
volunteer foster homes.
This rescue does not have kennels and the unwanted dogs they rescue are kept in a network of
volunteer foster homes where they can be assessed prior to rehoming.
All of our dogs available for adoption are in
volunteer foster homes in or around Winnipeg, Manitoba.
This is both for the safety of
our volunteer foster homes, as well as our doggies.
Because all animals live in the moment, we are committed to the continual improvement of their quality of life by using
volunteer foster homes to meet medical, emotional, and physical needs on a daily basis by stressing training, socialization, and mental stimulation.
City Kitties provides support for our fabulous
volunteer foster homes.
Instead we use warm, loving, experienced
volunteer foster homes, rehabilitators, and vets.
Transport rescued Labs to
their volunteer foster home, to introductions with their adoptive family, or to fundraising events where they can have exposure to potential adopters
The volunteer foster home has the last word on whether a potential foster dog would be a good fit.

In addition to the rescue of animals from urgent scenarios, AAUPR pays all vetting, training and rehabilitation costs necessary to help these animals while in
volunteer foster homes.
The breeding dogs in our program live as well - loved family pets in
volunteer foster homes.
Kitty Corner houses many of our cats and kittens, while unweaned kittens and adults needing quiet environments are spoiled in
volunteer foster homes.
AHS recruits and trains volunteers to work as
volunteer foster homes and case managers to care for, and find good homes for, dogs in our care.
As such, we depend on
volunteer foster homes to provide care for the dogs and cats that are saved by Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, Inc. until they are adopted.

You don't need any special talents to be
a volunteer foster home, although a good understanding of and experience with dogs is helpful.
Your support will provide veterinary care, food, toys, and support in
a volunteer foster home until they find their forever homes.
For example,
a volunteer foster home may decide to foster only females or only males to make sure they are more compatible with the resident dog (s) or may wish to foster only dogs within a certain age range.
Please remember we use
volunteer foster homes and how quickly placement into rescue is based on availability of an open foster home at the time of your request.
The cats that can be socialized are placed in
our volunteer foster homes.
Many of our animals are cared for temporarily in

A portion of the dogs pictured here are in
volunteer foster homes for a rescue, in which case there is usually a phone interview, an adoption application to fill out and a home check to be done, varying from group to group... most all ask for a fee (average is $ 300 - 450) and have a contract to sign regarding the adoption.
As
volunteer foster homes are available, South County Cats takes in kittens whose mother (and other cats in the household or yard) are spayed or neutered through our programs.

A New Beginning Animal Rescue is a a limited admissions rescue, meaning we can only take in as many animals as
our volunteer foster homes can safely and responsibly care for.
Appointments are offered on a first - come, first - served basis and depend on available space in
volunteer foster homes.
Since its recent launch in February, the vehicle has transported an estimated 150 cats and dogs from AC&C shelters to
volunteer foster homes, where the animals can get ready for adoption.
