mark the occasion, Light House Cinema have teamed up with Damn Fine Print Studio and BLOCK T for an
exhibition of limited edition Edgar Wright themed screen - printed posters which will be exhibited in the cinema
over the
course of the weekend.
At a time when we are immersed in a cacophony
of media images and sounds, and live in a climate
of anxiety often provoked by invisible and abstract adversaries, the four fundamental expressive art forms — painting, sculpture, installation and performance — are amalgamated
over the
course of the
exhibition, with contributions from Philippe Parreno, Adel Abdessemed, Roni Horn, David Hammons,
Mark Grotjahn, Marlene Dumas and many more.
Additional help was provided locally by Javier Roberto Carlos Briones, 32K Productions (video production for Amor Muñoz), and by the numerous guitarists who are performing in our Floor 2 galleries
over the
course of the
exhibition, including Erin Allen, Allyson Baker, Mike Ballan, John Burke, Giacomo Fiore, Shaina Lerner, Sean Nieves, Ryan Pate, Elsa Trash, and Christine Tupou (custom soundtracks for Chris Kallmyer and
Mark Allen).
Over the
course of the
exhibition, the daily movements
of gallery visitors and staff will
mark and score the floor, producing an accidental composition to be interpreted and performed by musicians.
