New work from a team led by Anne Boucher of Université de Montréal, and including Carnegie's Jonathan Gagné and Jacqueline Faherty, has discovered four new low -
mass objects surrounded by disks.

object has a «tidal
mass» of some 300 million Solar -
masses.
This project continues Lobo's ongoing interest in how an artist can control the systems of production, distribution, and consumption
surrounding objects both
mass - produced and created by the hand.
His practice is informed by found
objects and the materials that
surround him: scraps of paper, carton, plastic and more recently «protest wire», a tangled black
mass of wire he salvaged from car tyres burnt during the political protests that accompanied the last elections in Kenya.
