Much has been achieved in 22 years, such as the adoption of the revised International Labor Organization (ILO) Convention 183 and Recommendation 191 on maternity protection in 2000 — enacting
stronger maternity entitlements, more country initiatives, and improving national laws and practices.
BPNI seeks to work towards optimal nutrition of women and children, especially on enhancing breastfeeding rates in the country through countering commercial influence, capacity building of health and nutrition care providers, advocacy
for maternity entitlements and other national policies.
