I was tempted at first to give
maybe a 10 point list of
advice for parents going through deconstruction in front of their kids... things like let them see the books you read and answer their curiosities about them; teach your kids how to think, not how to believe; tell them everything you're going through and let them deal with what it means for them; ask them what they believe and listen objectively and engage in conversation about it; openly
share your struggles with what you're going through with the church and let them process it themselves, and so on.
A large community of excited visitors may surround you or,
maybe even just one set of grandparents that want to come by ALL the time (and
share all their parenting
advice with you).
So open up about your grief,
share your favorite stories about your pet, and
maybe seek
advice from someone you know who has gone through a similar experience.
And i also suggest to
share some relationship
advice too
maybe here and there not often but I think thats apart of life and probably the most confusing part.
