I never understood
mayo on sandwiches.
Tassajara Cookbook recommends this in place of
mayo on sandwiches, with grilled vegetables or tofu, and pasta.
I'd love to try
the mayo on sandwiches & veggie burgers.
I've been using it in all sorts of ways - mixed with
mayo on sandwiches, dabbed onto scrambled eggs, and to top the other recipes I've made from Jaden's book (I made the Mapo Tofu last night... so good!)
That means
no mayo on sandwiches....
Swapping in a sliced avocado instead of
mayo on your sandwich or mashed avocado instead of butter in baked goods (do a one - to - one equal swap of butter for avocado) helps you reduce those unhealthy fats that are void of value.
Replace
that mayo on your sandwiches with creamy avocado and not only will you lower your saturated fat intake you will be getting all those wonderful nutritional benefits!

This Banh Mi
sandwich is pretty close to being what I grew up
on with a few exceptions: I added a Sriracha
mayo, I used grilled chicken vs pork and for the bread I swapped out the French baguette for La Brea's Reserve Sourdough Demi - Baguette.
Also works well
on a
sandwich instead of
mayo or mustard.
I love to mix it with a little
mayo and spread it
on sandwiches and wraps, to make a vinaigrette and of course with pasta.
Breakfast
sandwiches are easy get a soda farl cut in in half, toast it a little not too much, grill some decent back bacon, thickly butter the soda farl, add bacon and lashings of HP brown sauce, simples, cheese or
mayo do not belong
on a breakfast, add fried egg to bacon and soda if you want to pimp it out, maybe even add an sausage or two.
You could also toss them with pasta or even put them
on a
sandwich with some homemade
mayo.
We lean
on reduced - fat cheddar in this
sandwich but add a little canola
