Meal Day has transformed my life
over the last
few years.
On any given
day, residents can grab a coffee (served with animal crackers) at Tryst, arguably the most popular cafe in the neighborhood, stroll along the wide sidewalks, browse a
few boutiques such as Urban Dwell, enjoy a
meal on the balcony at Roofers Union while looking out

It's these small steps taken
over the course of a
few days leading up to the holiday that make cooking this
meal so much easier than you might expect.
I used almond
meal (because I just made almond milk a
few days ago, so the «
meal» was what I had left
over).
I looked in the fridge a
few weeks ago trying to decide what to make for dinner... Isn't it funny how we have such a struggle trying to decide what to make every
day... My daughter and I would ask each other, what are we making for dinner, and we'd say «Oh ya, that
meal that just keeps coming
over and
over again».
A very tasty cookie, or focaccia, or bread, is one that doesn't sit on the counter for more than a
day, possibly not for more than a
few hours if you have people
over for a
meal.
It's easy enough to get your apple a
day, since they are easily taken along to work or school, and make a handy snack that can hold you
over a
few hours until your next
meal.
Father's
Day is right around the corner and there are
few things that would make Dad happier than spending time with family
over a nice
meal.
Over the following
few days we got stuck into some winter sika hunting, experiencing all sorts of weather when a nice warm
meal is more than just comfort!
This makes a healthy - sized batch of pesto, that I use
over the course of a
few days on several
meals.
Sure, it was a special occasion, but we had plenty of special
meals planned
over the course of the next
few days.
Taking a
few hours
over the weekend to make a soup, roast some vegetables, cook a pot of beans, make overnight oats, wash and dry salad greens, and prep a hearty grain allows you to easily throw together
