I subed 1 cup almond flour (
spooned into the
measuring cup) for the coconut flour since we didn't have any and
did walnuts instead of chocolate chips and they were oh so yummy.
Kosher salt has bigger flakes than table salt, so it doesn't fill a
measuring spoon as «tightly.»

I didn't
measure how much egg I
spooned into each biscuit, I just divided the whole mixture evenly.
Rather than
do the responsible thing, which would be to
do further research and come up with more exact proportions for the different spices, I grabbed a quarter teaspoon
measure and
spooned out the exact same amount of every spice.
They differ from what I'd
measure in my own cups and
spoons but you can feel safe following them just the same, as they work — I
did.
If you don't have a scale, we recommend fluffing the flour with a whisk or
spoon, sprinkling it into the
measuring cup, and scraping off the excess.
* If you don't have a sifter,
spoon the flour lightly into the
measuring cup.
Just remember to
spoon the almond flour into the
measuring cup and don't pack it in, otherwise it will absorb too much of the wet ingredients.
A few tips:

Also, alternate the
measuring of the oil and maple syrup, found that the syrup «spills» out of the
measuring spoon when
done that way...

done condensed milk should thickly coat a
spoon and
measure about two cups, but that measurement doesn't have to be exact.

If you don't have a small ice cream scoop, use a Tablespoon
measuring spoon for this.
Such a small measurement (under 2Tbsp) I don't weigh, it's easier to scoop with the
measuring spoons.

I've been wanting a new spice grater and I love this one from KitchenIQ because it grates into a handy compartment that you can easily scoop your
measuring spoons (or your Levoons, if you will) into rather than all over the counter (which is what I normally
do).
Pour pan drippings into a large
measuring cup (don't bother with a single - purpose fat separator) and, using a large
spoon, skim the fat off the top.
Gently brush your finger across the teeth to remove any good stuff that might be stuck on top (Don't pry; the stuff that's left behind is the fiber... and your fingertips), then sweep the puree and juice into your
measuring spoon or cup.
I know it doesn't seem like a huge change to make if you're used to it, but it can be hard to switch over to
measuring in a whole new way and it can be tough to make sure the measurements are exact in grams / ounces (at least in my experience — for instance I keep having to
spoon out extra flour out of the bowl if I added too much... it definitely takes a learning curve to be precise).
I
do own
measuring cups because I read a lot of american food blogs and recipes, and
measuring spoons are super handy I might add.
So, there's no guessing as to what glass you should use (Same with teaspoons and tablespoons - you buy a set of
measuring spoons, you don't just grab any old
spoon).
As kids grow, they will develop the skills, attention span, and interest to
do bigger cooking jobs, like squeezing the juice out of a lemon,
measuring ingredients into cups and
spoons, and beating eggs or mashing potatoes.
Children love to be involved in stirring,
measuring, and don't forget licking the

After going through that evolution, you might wan na try to tinker a bit with the recipes — add a splash of lemon here and there, use pecans instead of walnuts and generally
do the seasoning with your fingers rather than using tiny
measuring spoons (swap out exercises, try a different rep scheme for deadlifts, etc.).
If you don't have a kitchen scale, gently stir the flour to break it up, and lightly
spoon the flour into the
measuring cup.
Not only
does it significantly reduce clean up time since it completely removes the need for those pesky
measuring cups and
spoons, but it's a whole heck of a lot more accurate.
If you just stick your
measuring cup into the bag and scoop some out, you'll usually end up with way more flour than the recipe actually calls for because of how packed the flour becomes, so the best way to
do it is to use a

An very interesting example is the question... I don't remember exactly, but something like — which

spoon (because one eats a potato with a fork and knife)-- maybe it was potato, fork, plate,
spoon — but you get the point; note that it is much more straightforward
measuring temperature and wind then it is to

I know why you have four sets of
measuring spoons, as
do I... Because some how they go to live with the pair of socks, sadly missing their other half... no longer a pair because the washing machine eats them... In my house I have duplicates because everything disappears... and lazy people unloading the dishwasher can't be bothered to find where they live all happily nestled together on a handy dandy little ring... No they throw them in the drawer where things go to die....
Hence I have four, albeit mismatched
