I did a slight variation of this, using a little more
coconut milk
than recommended, fake
meat instead of seitan, and no
coconut oil.
Although a ketogenic lifestyle is typically higher in dietary fat
than most «diets», I can personally think of SO many other ways to incorporate other fats into my day (
coconut butter, avocado, olive
oil,
coconut butter, avocado
oil, fattier cuts of
meat, pumpkin seeds,
coconut butter, beef tallow, and did I mention
coconut butter already?).
I can only speak for myself, but I feel tremendously better on a high - fat (pastured animal fat,
coconut oil, raw EVOO), moderate protein, moderate carb diet with ample bone broth, liver, raw dairy and fermented foods (veges, sourdough, FCLO)
than I ever did with a lean -
meat and vegetable diet of paleo.
I seem to feel better eating smaller amount of protein (200 - 300g of
meat a day — eating more
than this seems to make me aggressive and anxious), about 600 - 800g of potatoes and sweet potatoes mixed and A LOT of
coconut oil (this food is truly a miraculous antidepressant — I am for 8 - 12 tablespoons a day with my starchy carbs).
For me the only way to go down with body fat is to stop adding extra fats (other
than those naturally contained in fatty
meats, eggs, fish, cheese or avocado) with the exception of
coconut oil.
