Process group psychotherapy has been a clinical focus since graduate school at the University of Texas at Austin, where his doctoral research examined
the mechanisms of change within the process group experience.

In the higher organisms, including man, a complex set
of neural and humoral regulatory
mechanisms preserve the stability
of the metabolic processes
within very narrow limits, despite substantial
changes in the external environment.
In the current context
of global warming it is important to assess the impacts that
changes in ocean and climate may have on Antarctica, and reconstructing past climate fluctuations provides vital information on the responses and possible feedback
mechanisms within the climate system.
«Our study revealed that one
of these
mechanisms involves metabolic stress - induced structural
changes within liver cells that compromise their function.»
How broadly this mode
of evolutionary
change is exploited in nature remains to be seen, but if the prevalence
of repetitive elements
within genes is any indicator, then mammals, insects, plants, and other genomes throughout the natural world may use this
mechanism to achieve evolutionary agility.
In addition, the DHA and EPA found in fish oil have a powerful ability to enhance the metabolism and increase fat burning by positively altering the gene functioning through various
mechanisms which include
changing the makeup
of cell membranes, altering the transcription
of genes and influencing the levels
of calcium
within the cells.
More importantly, evidence suggests that protein - induced
changes in renal function are likely a normal adaptative
mechanism well
within the functional limits
of a healthy kidney.
Most people worth their salt, (pun intended), know that the 6th Epoch, the Anthropocene, has indeed been ushered in by mankind.Climate
changes that before occurred in scales
of hundreds
of thousands
of years are now taking place
within decades.The sheer evidence
of many, many, unstoppable feedback
mechanisms is enormous.
No
changes are planned for PV, experts point out, because existing policy
mechanisms contain a volume - responsive degression model designed to keep annual PV installations
within a target «corridor»
of 2.5 GW to 3.5 GW.
Bart Verheggen says: August 14, 2011 at 3:03 am So how do past climate
changes (from snowball earth to the hothouse Cretaceous) fit in your paradigm that «that the temperature
of the Earth is kept
within a fairly narrow range through the action
of a variety
of natural homeostatic
mechanisms.»?
What this counter intuitive result does illustrate is that there are a huge number
of very complex feedback
mechanisms within the climatic system, and the results
of any
change may not be what you would expect.
The available data over the past century can be interpreted
within the framework
of a variety
of hypotheses as to cause and
mechanisms for the measured
changes.
Within the adaptation component, an International
Mechanism on Loss and Damage associated with climate
change impacts in developing countries vulnerable to the effects
of climate
change is being negotiated as well.
At best,
changes of such magnitude would trigger dramatic re-organization
of ecosystems across the globe that would play out over the next few centuries; at worst, extinction rates would elevate considerably for the many species adapted to pre-global warming conditions, via
mechanisms described above (inability to disperse or evolve fast enough to keep pace with the extremely rapid rate
of climate
change, and disruption
of ecological interactions
within communities as species respond individualistically).
Based on these results, we conclude that (1) the sensitivity
changes of the PMO6V radiometers
within VIRGO during the first two years have very likely not been correctly evaluated; and that (2) the TSI variations over cycle 23 and the
change in the TSI levels between the minima in 1996 and 2008 are consistent with the solar surface magnetism
mechanism.
Earlier planned litigation strategies (such as campaigns for school desegregation and for the abolition
of capital punishment) took place primarily
within the court system, employing legal argumentation as the
mechanism for social
change.
In group sessions the therapist uses the group process as a
mechanism of change by developing, exploring and examining interpersonal relationships
within the group.
Several candidate
mechanisms of CRCI have been proposed, including inflammation and cytokine dysregulation, chemotherapy - induced epigenetic
changes, blood — brain barrier disruption, hormone deficiencies, oxidative DNA damage and shortened telomere length, and genetic susceptibility.21 — 26 However, the heterogeneity and design limitations
within the emerging body
of evidence have led to recommendations for harmonising study methodologies and moving towards multisite, longitudinal research.3 27 Such approaches would support the demonstration
of robust relationships between measurable biological processes and cognitive outcomes.
Advances in neuroscience have revealed that the process
of brain development is driven by a dynamic interaction between the genome (nature) and the environment (nurture).25 Epigenetic
mechanisms like DNA methylation and histone acetylation are able to transduce experiences with the environment into long - lasting, even intergenerational
changes in gene expression.26 — 35 So although the inherited genetic program is thought to provide a general blueprint for brain architecture, the environment is able to influence which genes are used, when they are used during the course
of development, and where they are used
within the developing brain.
Although various PT models have been successful in targeting these parenting factors (Beauchaine et al. 2005; Eddy and Chamberlain 2000), our study contributes to the literature by showing that these important parenting
mechanisms can be
changed within a short period
of time.
An alternative approach would be to model the variance shared by a set
of proximal targets as a latent variable, and employ the latent variable to estimate both baseline target levels and subsequent
change in the targeted
mechanism within a BTMM design.
