meditators did better on a sustained attention task than controls, and mindfulness meditators were better than the other groups when the stimuli were unexpected, suggesting that they were less susceptible to the finding that focussed attention is impaired with unexpected stimuli.
The meditators did not show self - control depletion effects on the second task compared to a non-meditating group.

done on long - term
