members of the
legal profession from other countries
who want to spend time at UCLA School
of Law in order to conduct specific research or learn about U.S. law in a particular field related to their work.
Or it's an ego thing among those in the
legal profession who believe that
members of the
legal profession are entitled to just as much respect as
members of the medical
profession.
Thus, the barreau must ensure the discipline
of the
legal profession, respect
of ethics and the proficiency
of its
members and
of the people
who want to join its ranks.
