programs offer a wide array of child and family development services, including center - or home - based early learning experiences,
health and developmental
screenings, nutritious food, parenting resources and support, and access to

Child FIRST (Child and Family Interagency Resource, Support, and Training) is a home visitation
program for low - income families with children ages 6 - 36 months at high risk of emotional, behavioral, or developmental problems, or child maltreatment, based on child
screening and / or family characteristics such as maternal depression.1 Families are visited in their homes by a trained clinical team consisting of (i) a master's level developmental /
mental health clinician, and (ii) a bachelor's level care coordinator.
The
program will make an effort to increase
mental health literacy in the Natick school community, and to prepare the community for a broad - based
screening and intervention approach to the problem of youth depression / suicidal behavior.
Postpartum home visitation also includes
screenings for postpartum depression, and Careaga said up to 20 percent of Los Angeles County mothers already enrolled in a home visiting

The
program will increase the school community's
mental health awareness and literacy, which serves as a prevention tool for the community regarding adolescent depression; offer two - level
screening to students in one middle school and two high school grades, including universal, self - report
screening for all students, followed by in - depth interviews with students who
screen as high risk; and communicate with Holliston parents / guardians about youth depression and resources, provide more significant follow - up (both immediate and long - term) with parents / guardians of high - risk teens, and provide all school families with access to the Interface Referral Network.
Most Head Start (HS) and Early Head Start (EHS)
programs have some system in place for
screening children who are at risk for social emotional delays, problem behaviors and early appearing
mental health concerns.
The purpose of this interactive tool is to offer HS and EHS personnel, including
mental health specialists, with a quick guide by which to select a
screening system that best fits the unique circumstances of their
program (s).
Our
program will: increase
mental health literacy among the Natick Middle School community; offer
screening to all 7th and 8th grade students, make referrals as needed; and communicate with Natick Middle School parents / guardians about their teens, youth depression, and possible interventions.
First, this comprehensive
program begins with a concentrated effort to increase
mental health literacy in the school community and to prepare the community for a broad - based
screening and intervention approach to the problem of youth depression / suicidal behavior.
During Phase 1 of this project, 1030 new clients (i.e., any individual considered to be a new presentation by the relevant agency) from 17 participating
programs at 11 treatment agencies (problem gambling,
mental health, domestic violence, family support and substance abuse) across three Australian states (Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania) were systematically
screened for problem gambling, family member problem gambling, and family violence.
