We already know that
BlackBerry is going back to its roots by focusing
on their enterprise services but now sources familiar with the company say that John Chen will announce Tuesday at MWC in Barcelona that
BlackBerry will restore its trademark «belt» of five function keys that sat between the screen and keyboard (Call / Dial -
Menu — Trackpad — Back — End call buttons).
After you're connected, you'll see a

BlackBerry I've known of, the buttons - Call,
Menu, Back, and End Call - have been set flush against the front of the phone.

Since the Storm puts a ton of items under the
menu key, it doesn't sacrifice
on BlackBerry functionality at all, but it does mean new - to -

The other notable improvement, which I think needs to be made in future OS upgrades and made available to all existing
BlackBerry smartphones, is the ability to launch the Application Switcher by simply holding down
on the
menu key for two seconds.

The patent itself, «Touch - screen Device Having Soft Escape Key ``, isn't especially interesting, although it does indicate that the usual back and
menu keys we've been used to seeing
on BlackBerrys might be skipped with the upcoming tablet in favour of gesture - based or software keys.
