Saturday, November 15, 2014 — New York, NY — Two hundred cats, kittens, and rabbits seeking families to call their own today
met potential adopters at the fifth annual Whiskers in Wonderland adoption extravaganza.

Our volunteers have been hard at work marketing our animals and
meeting potential adopters at the weekly adoption events, but our 2013 adoptions are down by 40 % from the same period in 2012.

at adoption events or
meetings as announced (
at least 1 every 90 days) • Attendance of training if necessary or desired • Written profile / biography of your foster dog to let
potential adopters know more about them • Photos or transportation to a professional photographer that we arrange (to increase adoption possibilities) • Communication with organization to ensure the dog's needs are being
met and there are no concerns.
In that case the foster can either arrange to have the
potential adopter visit the animal in their home or arrange to
meet them with the animal
at an adoption center.
One of the best methods of advertising is to place an ad in the classified pet column of a major metropolitan newspaper, interview
potential adopters on the phone, then
meet with them, either
at their home or yours.
In order to not infringe on any more of the time of our foster families, we introduce our dogs to
potential adopters at our weekend adoption events posted on our website - please do not request to
meet the dog outside of an adoption event as we are unable to grant the request.
Adoption requirements are the same for foster animals as for animals in residence
at the Adoption Center, the only difference being that foster animals require the
potential adopter to
meet them via the foster family.

Potential adopters (entire family, including dogs) are required to come to the

at our location in Arvada, Colorado.

potential adopters or depending on the pet's needs, can
meet at the foster's home.
