If the original
Metal Gear offered a convincing
case for the potential of stealth - oriented
game design right out of the gate, this sequel made the argument ironclad.

Unfortunately, as is the
case with most shooters that don't somehow guide players into different
game modes, it seems like the Twisted
Metal community is clustering around the less interesting deathmatch
games, which will leave the team based
games to languish and wither.
Whatever the
case is, I can take some comfort in knowing that this will be the last
Metal Gear
game by Kojima, and that he can finally move on to bigger and better things.
The
game's single - player campaign leaves a lot to be desired, but like
Metal Slug, the real fun comes in when you grab some friends (three in this
case) and blaze your way through the levels as a four - strong unit.

Metal Case, an Insider Guide, and the Chaos Warriors Race Pack.
The new «Greatest Hits» packaging for
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is currently hitting retailers everywhere, and the rear of the
game case offers much hope for trophies finally being enabled for the PS3 exclusive.
Then
Metal Gear Solid V was no longer labeled «A Hideo Kojima
game,» as had been the
case with every preceding
Metal Gear title, and Kojima Productions, the studio behind the
Metal Gear
games, was dissolved.
In the
case of
Metal Gear Solid V, anyone hoping to save themselves the trouble of downloading the
game by picking up the retail copy at a store will find themselves downloading all 28 gigabytes of the
game anyway.
European fans can look forward to three special editions: the Apocalypse Edition, which packs the
game with the soundtrack in a
metal case; the Collector's Edition, which includes a Red Knight figure, Dark Souls trilogy hardcover art book,
metal case, soundtrack, iron - on patches, and cloth map, all in a box; and the Prestige Edition, which throws in everything else along with a numbered Lord of Cinder hand - painted resin statue.
