doing the diaper - free time... and the only signal my son seems to give that he needs to pee is the «pee - pee - wee - wee» and the increased tendency to play in corners / out
of the way places.
When you use my
method, you drastically reduce the amount
of time you spend toilet
training so you can be completely
done, once and for all.
Toilet
training doesn't need to be stressful, and like many
of the parenting decisions we make, you need to find a
method that works best for you, your little and your family.
Of course if your toddler or young child doesn't master the potty after 48 hours, you can decide on the fly that you're adopting the 3 - day potty
training method and cross your fingers.

training methods promise results, but these techniques don't work unless your child is ready.
Now that my son is approaching potty
training age, however, we're not likely to run into the same snags (or at least, not as many
of them) because I've figured out some
methods to help with the final stage
of potty
training that comes after the basics are
done (let's call it «the bathroom manners» stage).
Because you can start this
method of training when your baby is very young — in theory from birth - by the time your baby is ready to sleep through the night, they can have already learned how to put themselves to sleep, the only remaining thing to be
done is to drop the middle
of the night feed.
It can be quite a quick
method of sleep
training if you can be patient enough to keep
doing it after the 15th or 20th time you have to go back in and soothe.
Parents in desperate need
of Zs might be wondering how to
do the Pick Up, Put Down sleep
training method, and
do it effectively.
I always heard with lil boys its much easier to potty
train cus you can play games with them my mom told me she
did this one with my brothers she had put a cherieo in the tolit and told them to try and rope it and if you could rope the cheerio then you'll get a cookie or candy or something in that nature with my niece my mom tried the privery
method tell him he'll get a prize if he goes to the big boy potty tell him you'll take him to mcdonalds or to walmart for a toy if he goes like a big boy it works most
of the time I would try the cheerio
method for when he pee's and the privery
method for poopoo good luck we are still working with my 2 1/2 year old niece.
I originally had no intention
of doing sleep
training with her, but when she was waking up crying every 1 - 2 hours at 7 months due to separation anxiety, it got to the point where I had to try something, so I used the Ferber
method.
I think it's time to start some
method of sleep
training, but I was at a loss as to what to
do since I can't
do CIO.

There is a lot
of information out there on potty
training, as well as the
methods that can be used and how to go about
doing it.
You may have listed this, and I didn't find it, but it might be nice to include a list
of reference books on the different
methods of training.
While there are plenty
of methods that promise quick potty
training results, these techniques don't work unless your child is ready.
So, in fact this
method did work and children were
trained by the time they phsiologically ready at the average age
of 18 months.
Sure, you know your child better than anyone else, and that acute, personal knowledge
of your little will no doubt help you find the potty
training method that works best for them, but that still requires research, time, and a level
of learned understanding that didn't just organically sprout from within you.

of yours who has
done sleep
training with both babies, I want you to know that I
do not feel offended or judged when you write about your
method of family sleeping.
Potty
training in one day is a
method that is very effective and
does work.It was originally created for children with special needs, since it works off the basis
of watching your child's facial expressions and movements prior to going potty and then being able to get them to the potty in time.
Although we
do not ascribe to any one
method of «sleep
training» for all families to follow, we
do hold strongly to some basic tenets about the importance
of sleep.
They don't look at what sort
of sleep
methods were in place prior to 7 months and from what I read, some
of the parents
did sleep
training where they stayed in the room with the child.
As I explain below, other
methods of sleep
training -
methods that
do not involve leaving babies alone to cry — have been tested and judged effective.
Even if you can not practice full time EC, you can still take advantage
of it whenever you are home with your child, and even though it may not be as effective as a potty
training method when
done part time, it can still provide an incredible bonding experience and reduce your reliance on diapers.
We are trying to figure out what
method of sleep
training we feel might be best for her and if we want to go ahead and
do this with her although she is very persistent.
I have sleep
trained both
of my kids
doing the Ferber
method.
If not, consider a
method that will put the least amount
of stress on the one
doing all the sleep
training.
In other words, the newer sleep
training «CIO»
methods don't involve letting your baby sob all night without some degree
of comfort and attention from you.
Critics
of cry - it - out
methods argue that these studies are flawed — they don't have the right measures
of harm, they fail to determine whether the parents actually used cry - it - out
methods to sleep
train their babies, and they rely on parents» reports instead
of observation.
From my understanding critics
of sleep
training methods involving infant distress
do argue that these
methods can indeed cause chronic stress as the baby has learnt not to signal when struggling during the night.
It's important to remember, however, that medication
does not «cure» ADHD and is only a piece
of the overall treatment plan, which may also include ADHD education, parent
training, behavioral management
methods, organizational strategies, school / work accommodations, coaching, and counseling.
The third
method of sleep
training has a gazillion names, «pick up, put down, shirts down, pet down, kinder, shuffle», and it's basically fading, and fading is when you stay with the child, asking them to
do a little more and a little more the work as you are staying with them.
We haven't tackled night weaning yet, and he still wakes 1 - 3 times a night, but if he doesn't drop these wakings after a year, we will
do some sort
of sleep
training again (likely a cry it out
method, because he's taught me that he really needs me to give him space to get to sleep on his own without my distracting presence — such a hard realization for a mother to make!).
