metric I look at as a value investor is
Price to Earnings ratio (commonly
called PE ratio).

called factor indexes (and the beta strategies that follow them), like the MSCI USA Enhanced Value Index and iShares Edge MSCI USA Value Factor ETF (VLUE), screen for securities using multiple
metrics, and weight them not by market capitalization, but by their exposure to value
price multiples.
As I have argued before, most investors in public markets (including many who
call themselves value investors) are also in the
pricing game, though they use
pricing metrics of longer standing (from PE to EV / EBITDA) and have larger samples of public traded firms as comparable firms.
A behavior - changing carbon
price (a tax or fee) of perhaps $ 150 - 200 per
metric tonne CO2 - equivalent emissions (with or without a refundable tax credit, sometimes
called a dividend to blunt its regressivity) would require sacrifice differentially among economic sectors and groups, as well the need to change comfortable habits and ways of life.
