Full disclosure: I consider
micellar waters more of a makeup remover than a cleanser, but it's hard to deny their extreme convenience.
Will I use
micellar water more often?
Not exact matches
Instead of using it as a leave - on cleanser and toner,
micellar water (no matter what the brand) is instead my go - to choice for gently removing that top layer of makeup, dirt and oil before going in for a
more thorough oil and gel cleanse.
I was a little hesitant to try it because I didn't want to strip my skin of moisture, but after reading
more I learned that the YSL Toning & Cleansing
Micellar Water contains glycerin to keep skin moisturized.
I couldn't agree
more about the
micellar water and am a huge fan of the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation.
It reminds much of a
micellar water, except it is focused
more on removing dirt and makeup.
I double cleanse
more in summer, I find my pores tend to clog up
more in summer, so it's a
micellar cleansing
water then a cleansing balm!
Instead, I use
micellar water, which is much
more gentle than a toner, but still leaves skin feeling fresh.
Most
micellar waters look like nothing
more than just plain ol'
water, but don't be fooled.
The first time I tried Garnier
micellar water was last year after I had already tried
more expensive
micellar waters by Bioderma and Vichy.
Now I've already sung the praises of
micellar water many times, so this tip is just one
more reason you need to get your hands on it ASAP.

Water left me non-plussed so it went into my giveaway bin.
What's
more, most
micellar waters don't require follow up rinsing, meaning you don't have to be in close proximity to a sink to cleanse your skin.

micellar water has been available Stateside for quite some time, though many people still struggle to understand what it is and —
more importantly — how it can benefit their skin.

I've used the Garnier
Micellar cleansing
water before receiving this and always swore by it to my friends, and now that I have the wipes with no need for cotton balls I'm happy to say that it's even
more convenient!
Micellar water is
more progressive than ever, because only a year ago, it was not powerful enough to remove heavy makeup.
Use a milky facial cleanser or
micellar water to remove your foundation, mascara, bronzer, blush and
more.
What's
more, some
micellar waters can act as a cleanser, toner, and makeup remover all - in - one, able to benefit all skin types.
They are a bit
more compact than a bottle of
micellar cleansing
water and I don't have to worry about liquid spilling all over the inside of my bag.
I used to apply Créaline by Bioderma but now I use Caudalie's
micellar water (because it is a little bit
more gentle on the skin and very nicely formulated) as for Chanel polishes, I used to swear by them, but now I prefer Dior's for it's gel formula that last longer.
I forgo my daily liquid foundation for a powder foundation and
micellar water for
micellar water wipes while traveling, but
more on that in a future post on my travel (dry) toiletry bag.
Olay Daily Facials provide a
more complete clean than the # 1 makeup remover wipe, # 1
micellar water, and # 1 liquid cleanser because they remove makeup, cleanse, exfoliate, tone and hydrate with no residue left behind.
