There's now a class action lawsuit against Google over
microphone issues on the original Pixel and Pixel XL handsets.
If you'll recall, Google's 2016 Pixel devices, the Pixel and Pixel XL,
faced microphones issues not too long after launch.

nagging microphone issues faced by Google Pixel 2 XL users.
The class - action lawsuit was filed this week and the plaintiffs allege that their phones had
microphone issues from the beginning.
Google has yet to identify a single cause for the Pixel and Pixel
XL microphone issues, but it does suggest that accidental drops could carry at least part of the blame for the device problems.

This meant that you had to take back your current Pixel or Pixel XL phone and get a new one that has
this microphone issue as well as all other hardware problems solved.
